Thursday brings us to Belle Vue for another National Points Shootout Round, with the meeting also having a title race in the form of the World of Shale. The un-confirmed grid line up to date for the title race is like this:

561 .. 1
315 .. 527
39 .. 3
8 .. 391
290 .. 262
221 .. 365
31 .. 363
164 .. 413
531 .. 172
16 .. 515

Reserves (in order): 300, 484, 399, 137, 87, 233, 136, 188, 380, 151, 236, 107, 291, 516, 351, 495, 525, 41, 323, 85, 292, 126, 256, 390, 21, 588, 488, 4, 61, 325, 343, 553, 599

Current World Champion #1 Tom will be looking to retain the title, but with #561 Murf on his inside who has been having a terrific season on the loose stuff it maybe difficult to get the early break everyone desperately needs from the front. Going further back the grid eyes will be on Dutchman #315 Mike and #527 FT who have second row grid slots and have the pace to challenge both of the front runners. Moving back further still and the likes of #3 Johno, #39 Leek, #8 Tosh, #391 Corny and #290 Dazza may have to push hard in the opening few laps to get to the front, but it proves it can be done from further back the grid as proven by many of the championships so far this season. #531 Lee and #16JK have not raced much of late but a booking from both would be a pleasant sight and both have the potential to cause an upset from the back. #221 Spike, #365 Trav, #363 Walker, #164 Jarry, ##413 Matt, #172 Jnr and #515 Big Al are all currently on the grid and whilst a couple of them haven’t raced for more then a few weeks it would be great to see them line up for the title race at least, even if shale isn’t there more favoured surface.

Regular drivers such #285 Mav Jnr, and #236 DanSkin will all be expected to be on the grid in the meeting proper, and whilst its fair to say these drivers maybe not the quickest about it is about time for a few lower graded drivers to come through and really show some potential.

As mentioned, the Shooutout is back in town and while it seems to be a two horse race between #1 Tom and #315 Mike, the other shootout drivers are still battling away for the minor places and are by no means making it easy for the guys at the top. In fact, it has been noted on numerous occasions how hard the bumper has been going in by the drivers at the back as they try to battle there way through to the front of the field.

Early bookings to come in are from 21 Southy who returns to Uk Dirt for another meeting after enjoying the meeting at Birmingham so much last week – by his own admission. 107 JanHarm is back to after far too many meetings away, with the same applying to entertainer #31 Skeet and #300 Matty who is another to watch from the front of the grid when the meeting gets going after the WoS race. With the current gaggle of Shootout drivers also booked the meeting is certainly being blue and star grade dominated at this moment in time. We hope to attract a few more whites and yellows to bolster the front of the grid, which I am sure will happen at the start next week. I will update the booking list as driver’s book in.

300 Mattyaspin - Yellow
31 Skeet - Blue
107 JanHarm - Blue
221 Spike - Blue
262 Harmen - Blue
3 Johno – S/S
290 Dazza S/S
315 Mike S/S
527 Fast track S/S
1 Tom D S/S

Dont forget the popular TNT races are run after the Grand National, an up to date points chart is avavailable in the Birmingham results thread, get yourselves booked in now to see for yourself how good these races are!

Many thanks to Johno for ceating the poster.

Aye am looking forward to some shale shiftin' in the Bru Bumperspecial! Was hoping to take my place on the grid for last week's Grand National Championship but work has been absolutely mental since I got back from holiday, so have been racking up the overtime. This will prob be my last meeting of the main season (gotta show off my new blue roof, it matches the Stoxkart!)...Arena was on the planner but thanks to the team boss being in Ghana until next Wednesday, we're gonna be spending Thursday night (and prob some of Friday's early hours) in the workshop getting the karts ready for the Gold Top race! Nothing like a mad rush before the biggest race of the year haha!

Is it possible for me to make a provisional booking for tonight? Got a chance of being back home in time now and if i do make it i'd like to race.

Thanks.

Yes that's fine. Hopefully you'll make it home on time.
