3 heats each…… one mighty Grand Final……. followed by a Grand National!

This is the new exciting format for the Tarmac Masters Series that starts this week at Northampton. Each driver will receive 3 heats each with the top 14 points scorers going through to the meeting final. The remaining drivers will be entered into the consolation with the top 8 making it through to the meeting final. There will then be enough Grand Nationals for everyone. The points at the end of the meeting will then be multiplied according to the driver’s grade.

This is of course round 1 of 7 in the revamped Tarmac Masters Series before the Tarmac Masters Finale which this year will take place on the tarmac of Ipswich. With the top points scorer starting to pole position, this Thursday is a good chance to get a good haul of points and make sure that you are near the front of the grid.

Northampton also has possibly the biggest meeting of the year for the number 1 title in our league today: THE 2011 CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE WORLD. This is one of only two meetings at the venue before the big night itself and thus this is a fantastic opportunity to tweak any set up you may have for the big race.

With the superb start to the season we have had racing wise, numbers have yet to reflect the superb racing that we have seen. Hopefully this week, numbers will continue to improve as drivers continue to race in a league that has a huge history.

Cheers

Johno

I am having my doubts about this whites and yellows series. It's a bit embarrassing with 3 or 4 cars involved. It's maybe useful practice for the main meeting to some extent but it's not the same as having plenty cars on-track. What do others think?
