Monday see's the annual running of the European Championship, Held as ever at Northampton international raceway. The race itself is open to the top 16 drivers in the national points with everybody else being put into a last chance qualifying race from which the top 6 will be added to the european grid to form a 22 car championship race,

if a driver out of the top 16 doesnt book then the next booked driver from the points will take his place, so as dode is banned samwit#954 will be put into the top 16

The following drivers are automatically seeded into the race.

TomD-112
Drumbstick-1
Danskin-236
Dode-151
LeeK-39
Mike-315
Green-115
Robin-H25(p)
Dave-488
Spike-221

Southy-277
Nezza-46
Hooty-256
Cobbers-155
Aub-188

next 10 reserves: 954, 641, 131, 632, 760, 129, 365, 172, 380, 912

drivers in bold are booked drivers in red will not be racing.

lets have a quick look at those top 16:

TomD-112
TomD the reigning European Champion and newly crowned Irish Champion, is already booked in this for meeting, so will he be able to keep the red and yellow checks? He has been on top form this year and is definitely the one to watch out for!, He is currently leading the national points by quite an amount, will he be able to battle his way through the pack to remain the European Champion 2011 or will we see a new champion this year?!?!?

Drumbstick-1
Drumbstick The reigning World Champion, has not done as many meetings this year as of yet, but he is still battling away in the national points chart, currently in 2nd position behind the leader TomD-112, Drumbstick will also be one to watch in this race whether starting from the front or the back of the grid!, he has got some race craft and will not be shy to push you out side to get to the the front! So could it be his night and he comes away with the win?!?!?

Danskin-236
Danskin Newly crowned British Champion after taking the win at Belle Vue a couple of weeks back, He must be one of the favorites to win this title with his recent performances also winning the Brisca F1 British title! Danskin has been the one to beat lately, he has been fast and consistent on tarmac and shale, picking up heat wins, and grand final wins along his way! So Who bets on him winning this title?... only time can tell?!?!?

Dode-151
Well, This young Scottish lad has been going well this season, not having much luck last season this surely makes up for it!.. currently sitting 4th in the national points, he must be proud!... Unfortunately Dode will not be racing this meeting due to him picking up a ban from Skegness! so his chances for this title have been blown!!

LeeK-39
LeeK started off the season going well, and has been getting faster and faster each week, his preferred surface is the loose stuff so will he be able to keep his cool in this big race and get a decent result! LeeK must be happy with himself for sitting in 5th in the national points this season! lets hope he has a good race!... Will it be LeeK flying around with the red and yellow checks after Monday evening?!?!?

Mike-315
Mike Having lost the British title not so long ago, hasn't raced much this season only 10 meetings! but is sitting in 6th in the national points, picking up 293 points out of top meetings proves he has got race craft and skill (when he uses it haha) Mike is also known for the hard hitting side of things this could be a good thing if he is starting from the back of the grid to work his way up! Will Mikes luck strike again and he goes back to Holland with the checks?!?!?

Green-115
Green. Well what can we say... he has made a name for himself since he has joined doing silly moves but also sticking the bumper in hard but fairly! he has got the pace to do well around the Northampton Raceway, but will his haters let him have a good race or will they push him about and make it hard for him to get to the front of the pack?!?!?

Robin-H25
Robin the current National Points Champion, he has also not done many meeting this season, but when he does race, he certainly knows how to!.. he is another one who knows how to get to the front of the pack!... but after him not doing many meetings this season we will definitely be seeing him lose his silver roof!, WIll he be doing the European championship? if so he is another to keep an eye out for!..

Dave-488
Dave didn't have any luck last season at all, always hitting cars on his way around landed him into trouble, recently he has sold his Randall Motorsport car on and has bought out a stunning looking new RCE, he also has a new engine waiting this meeting so, will this new RCE and engine bring him any luck in the big race?!?!?

Spike-221
Spike well from his heats days he has changed his racing totally, ,,,,,,,,,,,,in heat it was bumper after bumper, god knows how much he spent on new bumpers, now we see him racing rfactor and his racing has improved alot, getting up to red and staying at red!.. his race craft has changed but he still knows how to use the steel thing at the front of his car, spike is due some luck soon maybe this will be his night?!?!?

Tosh-164
Tosh after last season going very well and getting quicker decided it was his time to have a sit back and have a break from racing, well i think this done him a little good! coming back 14 meetings ago see's him sitting 11th in the national points, this man knows how to set a Randall up around most raceways, if he can get it right on the night he will be in for a good shout! will tosh take the red and yellow home to Scotland?!?!?

Southy-277
Southy has recently joined the league at the beginning of the season, he has been going well since he joined this is from previous experience else where at different leagues, but he has sat at red grade for some time now!, he has less experience than some of the people in front of him in the national points but he is slowly getting there... will he have the race craft on the night to win this big title if he keeps out of trouble?!?!?

Nezza-46
Nezza missing some of this season due to (having a little baby)! has gone well this season in his well presented Higman chassis, he is the only man on the grid in 1 of these chassis will he prove to everyone that Higmans can still beat these flashy Randall's and RCE's he certainly could if he tried his best with his performances this season!

Hooty-256
Hooty, Well from the Video we can all see he likes the fence! the question is... will it be him up there or will he be following someone towards it! we all know what Hooty does best and that is use the bumper, but on his day he also has the pace to be up there with with the 'top boys' what will his mood be like on the night will he be looking for the win or for someone to hit?!?!?

Cobbers-155
Cobbers is the only blue grade on this years European championship grid, how will he do with all these champions and reds around him will he lose his nerve and make silly mistakes and crash out? or it could be a totally different story.. he could show up all the red and champions to show them that lower grade drives are not all here just to make up the numbers

Aub-188
Aub strangely enough has also missed a fair few meetings this season and only just getting into the automatic qualifiers being 16th in the national points. Aub certainly knows how to spice things up when it comes to F2's!... but then again he knows how to race... if he has the right setup sorted he will be in for a shout if its his day he could easily take the wing back home with him, in his stunning looking randall motorsports car

Hope to see you all Monday evening for what should be one fantastic meeting!... You would be a fool to miss this meeting around the fast action packed stadium of Northampton International Raceway!

the 2011 grid has been added to the original post above (the bold bit at the bottom) as i say can ALL people in that top 16 either book in asap or post that you are not racing, once again bookings for the top 16 will close earlier than the normal late bookings if you miss that cut off you will be in the LCQ race
