Well Done to Trav on winning the main event and also apologies to Trav for the GN where I think I wiped you out after side by side contact with Craig for the second time tonight I ended up flying off in circles under no control for no real reason. 26 points will do, to many no scores to make it a real good night for me, thought I was 6th in the Final to be honest but I guess the results are correct. big al 515 Posted August 4, 2011 Report Share Posted August 4, 2011 The heats were good for me with a 6th place and going alright early on in the other two heats as well. My pc seemed to find this track quite challenging and when there were a lot of cars near it was virtually undriveable (it's set to only show 8 cars in front) so I had to retire from both the Final & the GN. I'm probably lucky to get away with what I do with this pc as usually it's ok. Well done to Trav on a popular win, and big well done to BenLymn for a double figure haul - true to his word that he is a whizz on big tarmac tracks . Marco Posted August 5, 2011 Report Share Posted August 5, 2011 (edited) I really enjoyed the racing last night, got 4th, 5th and 9th in my heats so that went really well for me. Had a great start in the final sneaking it into first position, I saw a crash in my rear view mirror and after that I was probably a straight length ahead. Then someone spun in front of me which slowed me down a bit, but I was still leading. Had a hard time passing some back markers so in the end I got passed by the faster guys, still managed to keep it in 4th place so was quite happy with how it went. In the GN I ended up hitting a tyre on the infield on lap 2 I think, but ah well, had a great night Thanks for the meeting Johno! See you all next week PS. Kruiz 136 Posted August 5, 2011 Report Share Posted August 5, 2011 (edited) Really enjoyed this meeting alot more than I was expecting to after about a year away and next to no practise, no setup and after a dismal meeting in F2's on monday I was expecting the worst but it was highly enjoyable almost throughout. There was plenty of fair wheel to wheel, bumper to bumper racing and good little battles going on, there was the usual idiots too but luckily they didn't influence the whole turn out into to brainless driving as has been known. Disapointed to have to miss next week's meeting as it is one of my favourite tracks but I'll be at work, so might be back in a fortnight Well done Trav Dode and LeeK on their successes last night, thanks to the admin team who did an excellent job running the show.
