makes a change me doing well. i wasnt expecting to get any points at all on a very difficult track, but i managed ok and i finshed in the top 10 in every race i been in. thanks to spike who told me to change the wedge from 11.04 to 0.00 for the grand national which made a difference and got 5th.

God knows how people managed to finish races....lol

Had to leave early but first race I lost my front wheel on the first bend. 2nd Heat I managed to get into the lead with 5 to go and got hit by a flying car and then crashed in ht3.

Thanks guys. Thanks for the meeting admin and well done Dan with the top scoring.

Really enjoyed the first meeting around the new track and it certainly lived up to expectations - there were many hectics moments and it certain had a hint of nostalgia about it because I don't think we've had a meeting like it since the heat days. The track is always going to be a bit of a marmite proposition, but I'd take Yarmouth, Mildenhall and next weeks Knockhill meeting any day over yet another meeting around your carbon-copy NIR, Birmingham and Coventry tracks.

Was really chuffed with the heat win, and the last few laps in the lead were utterly terrifying, esspecially when lapping people. Martyn hit the fence on the back straight of the last lap of that heat that gave me a real fright. Very exciting stuff. Had a rough 2nd and 3rd heat catching a few pile ups but great fun nonetheless. The final was absolute carnage with dead cars everywhere. I had a very mediocre first half of the race, getting pushed back down the order a few times, but it'll seemed to kick off about half way through, and after making it through a few pile ups, everything came together great. Well happy with that - as I mentioned in chat, final wins are extremely rare for me (a mere 5 in 10 seasons in F1s!) and to do it at a track I put a lot of work into, extra special :)

See you next week,

MoR
