Really enjoyed the racing tonight, just like I have for the whole season tbh. I think the racing has generally been very fair.

Racing wise, I am getting back to somewhere near my best in terms of speed. Found a few things to tweak and seem to be going a bit better. I just need to get a good break in some of the races with more cars. Three times in the final and grand national I choose the wrong way around a spinning car. Had a cheeky go at planting Big Al into a couple of cars in the Grand National but he choose to hit the tyre instead of the cars! hehe! Otherwise, points in each race tonight which is something that I have not been good at for 18 months now!

Anyway, should be around next week when I hope to get further forward on the semi final grids.

Cheers

Johno

P.S Dan did ring and tell me FT that he was not going to be at the meeting, and I got a message to LeeK via MoR to sort the servers out.

To score only 1 point from this meeting was extremely disappointing.

For the second week running I felt in practice I was on it and very happy with my consistant laps.

Yet every race did ONE incident, not of my doing, take me from a good position to out of the running.

How I seem to end up facing the wrong way, when others just straighten up and carry on I don't know!!!!

Getting disallusioned with the racing, as it just seems to happen to me. To name a few - Sheffield, Yarmouth (Big time), Coventry and now Ipswich.

I apologise to LeeK and Corny for the final last night, LeeK I was being pushed and did not want to put you wide like I did, and Corny, as that was the second time I had been taken out after getting myself back into the top ten, I was annoyed and wanted to get back on track as soon as possible. I thought I had enough room to get round before you appeared. Thankfully you survived and did go on to finish ahead of me leaving me in 11th place - I hate 11th place!!!

Not sure what else I can do, other than to find a four leaffed clover as this at the moment is not giving me any enjoyment :banghead2:

This was my 2nd F1 meeting for around 6-7 years. For those who don't know me i raced Bangers and Hotrods when it all began years ago.I decided to make a comeback to racing because now being Disabled and at home 24/7 i have time and lots of it.

BUT i found out thats driving standards are non existant for some and it is just high speed bangers.Driving round in practice trying to learn the quickest way around the track and getting continually followed in by the same people over and over, then because of these morons racing is ruined by people trying to take out these people at any cost.I have been trying to stay out of peoples way on track until i get used to these beasts but it turns out even if you give drivers room they prefer to go off line and follow you in. Lap down take outs are fine if its a white top.

stumpy you are so right! no one will pass without sticking the bumper in every corner.... i would like to see the racing what happens in real life.... follow the pack till you are past everyone then start using the bumper, i got a great start in the gn and i was away till i got LAPPED down hit witch took me out the race!

i have got to say tho was a good meeting and really enjoyed the heats! there was some good racing but also some bad as there always is !

cant wait for next week for some more f1 racing!!

Agreed stumpy! Just seems there's a few drivers who just ruin every race your in with them! Or some people who just sit and tap tap tap every bend even though top places are just infront they rather just smash your back bumper than get more points!

Back to shale next week should be abit better there!!

Yeh missed you Aza, I didn't have a hare to chase .

The feeling's mutual Ricko, really enjoying our battles at the moment in the first few laps before one or both of us messes things up :king:.

Sorry for hitting the tyres, Johno, it certainly wasn't intentional .

Despite not many points, it wasn't a bad night as I got top tens in the 2 heats I raced, as I managed to miss my other heat as the MI got a late change and I sadly dashed off the pc for some domestic stuff when it was a heat I thought I wasn't in. When there is an all-in Final & GN, I wouldn't generally expect to score, and so it was, although I had a good run in the GN and thought I was going to get a high finish for a while.

Stumpy, good to see you type something, I spent most of last week trying to get something out of you  as was saying what good races we had had. Stick with it m8, I am certainly enjoying racing with you. As for Lithgow, well you started whacking me and spinning me a couple of times last week when we were well out of the top 10 and I hadn't a clue why, maybe you have done that to others and they are getting you back?! Having said that, you seem to have raced alright with me since so maybe it was some kind of a misunderstanding . Anyway, all you guys who think you are being belted all over the shop, if you keep on driving clean for long enough, people will start to respect you and realise how you drive, and no longer belt you so hard because they don't trust you, so you can start enjoying the racing. I am the slowest guy on the grid every single meeting, but I nearly always get respect when I am being passed (which is most of the race ) because people know I aren't going to follow them in on the next corner. It's worth persevering lads...

Thanks to FT for running it, particularly hard when he has to reshuffle because of late changes to the booked in list, and for MadMat for another great effort by stewarding when not racing at all.
