Mav Posted August 3, 2012 Report Share Posted August 3, 2012 How has Mav_Jnr been classed with no points AND a messer Strike???? I informed the RM at 19:40 that he wasn't racing, so why the messer strike??? I always thought you preferred drivers to book in and cancel if necessary, rather than turn up on spec and expect to be in the MI. I understand those that do not show without word, after booking in, get messers, but not those who made the effort to inform the RM prior to the start of the meeting. DanSkin Posted August 3, 2012 Author Report Share Posted August 3, 2012 He won't be classed as scoring no points, it's just the way for me to pick them out that involves least effort. He will get a messer strike in this instance as I had to waste my time rearranging heats (4 times in total, culminating in giving up and drawing new heats based on a headcount in chat). We have the messer system for a reason, repeatedly mess about the RMs and get a ban, it's simple, I've been fairly lenient this season as it hasn't impacted heat grids/skewed race amounts... but in the last month or so it has got out of hand with a few members. Running a meeting the way I had to last night is not something I want to do, nor do I want to be asking RMs to cater for no shows/late cancels every week. Hence the action is taken. Of course it's helpful when a driver can let me know if they cannot race / will not race / will be leaving the meeting, and I will always be thankful for that.
