Well Done Jack, not an easy task running the meeting!

Thanks to all the stewards.

Apart from the lengthy wait for the consolation, the night ran quite smoothly.

As for my evenings racing:

I was surprised at how well practice went using the "Cockpit" view.

Hadn't used it before, but during practice started to enjoy it, as it had a "Real Feel" to it.

Practice was good, felt confident had some good battles/good tussles - all fair and above board - with various people and I was really looking forward to the meeting.

Thats where it went downhill - why oh why do drivers think they can win it on the first lap or why do they have to strike back the very next bend loosing you both time??

My pet hate of the night was people deliberately tapping your back end so you spin.

Several times in good positions when I had no luck at all and ended up back trying to catch up. Crossed the line three different times in reverse to finish a race!!

10th (Thx to Jnr), 11th, 11th, 8th, 9th and 13th - not a good set of finishes when I started yellow!!

Real shame because practice was excellent, but the main event was such a let down.

Having said that about me, the night ran well and it was good to see us all coming together for the event and in the main a good clean meeting to be had :appl:

I'll echo Mav - Jack and other Admin did a very good job. The gap before consolations was a bit long but I wouldn't have wanted to be the one to sort them all out. The guy who seemed to steward all my races was top notch - I liekd the way he drove on track in front of the whites just as he was calling the roller to start and then lead the pole cars round at 20mph - certainly made for good starts.

Was surprised to find cockpit view locked, although I use it anyway so suits me fine.

Considering the number of cars in the meeting from different leagues and not knowing each others 'styles', I was impressed by the standard of racing - good sensible stuff with no idiots. In fact, the only idiots seemed to show themselves in Chat where some puerile stuff went on, but on-track it was great.

I didn't expect a 4th place in any heats, so that was good.

All round, well worth turning up, well done all involved. :appl:

Maybe there should be a bit more SimStox/UK Dirt joining up, based on this effort. :scared15:

Cheers, thought it would add a bit more realism to it since I wouldn't be racing anyway. Original plan was to use the SimStox BMW pace car but only realised at the last minute it comes with the SimStox skinpacks so far too late to do anything about it.

Regarding the view thats how we always run and only twigged on after the 2nd or 3rd round of heats and since there was no complaints felt no need to change it.

Thanks everybody for racing and hope to see it bigger next year (although someone else can calculate the points for the consis!!)

What are you suggesting Al? An Inter-promo style challenge of four rounds (2 at each "promoter") during the season? Are you mad??

Crewesader

LOL! Sorry Crewe, it was the Festive drink talking!

big al said ....good sensible stuff with no idiots. In fact, the only idiots seemed to show themselves in Chat where some puerile stuff went on, but on-track it was great.

the stuff in chat was myself being victim of some abuse from stox drivers which ended with me leaving simstox after being offered my £10 joining fee back if i promised to leave simstox and never return to simstox.

i did not accept the fee back but did leave.

i raced the evening but did not get anywhere...and it ended with me being thrown out of the last race due to the bullying i had recieved.

oh well i hope things go better here.

so far i have been accepted by most of the guys.

and hope it continues.

Gary

Sorry to hear that Gary, I wasn't commenting on anyone in particular as I didn't pay much attention to the exact nature of what was being said.

Hope you enjoy yourself on UK Dirt

PS sounds like you should have accepted the fee back tbh!
