Kiwi Superstocks World 240 Info and Preview

It’s that time of year again for the World 240 Kiwi Supersticks, as in previous years this is run over 3 races of 15 laps each with the top points scorer the winner. Grids will be predrawn beforehand. This year, we have invited our friends from the Sim Racing NZ league to take part and we have opened up 4 invitation places in the World 240 if they wish to take them. Finally, depending on bookings, the final 2 places will go to the top 2 finishing places in a last chance race for non qualifiers. This is open to anyone who has not qualified whether they have raced this season or not.

World 240 Preview

Top 3 Favourites

DanSkin 23H

Dan goes into the World 240 on the back of some excellent form in Kiwi Superstocks so far, he has already won a feature final this season and is currently the top points scorer. However, this is small fry compared to his 2012 UKDirt run of form which he continues to uphold in 2013 so far. At time of writing, he holds Gold in F1, F2, Saloons and Superstox and if he retains the Gold in Mondays Superstox has the the chance to hold all the Stockcar World titles at once if the 240 goes his way. History beckons.

The Game 119r

A new member to UKDirt but has made a big impression so far in his home series and has proved to have the pace to beat in all the races he has contested. If he gets away, he will be difficult to catch and has the experience of these cars to make it count. The Game can also make the record books as the first driver from outside Europe to possibly win a World Title at UKDirt...

TomD

Tom will be looking to kickstart his 2013 season in style by winning the 240, he has already won the NZ Championship and the double is certainly on. Tom has the speed to rival anyone but the key will be staying out of trouble! Something that Tom attracts on track like a magnet...

3 to Watch

Harmen 75a

Harmen comes into the 240 totally under the radar and could be one to watch. He was a key member of the hastily assembled Tigers team and has shown great speed in all races. As with Tom, Harmen's main problem is keeping out of trouble. If he keeps his nose clean, he could well be in with a shout.

Jack 16c

Jack's participation is in doubt after PC problems kept him out of the NZ Championships, but if he is able to race this week then Jack is in with a real shout. His improvement over 2012 was evident to see in UKDirt to the point where he is now one of the guys to look out for.

Marco 56v

Marco has only done one meeting, but did enough to qualify into the 240 and is the final qualifier. Although the races didn't go his way, he was bang on the pace from the off and ran up front for most of the meeting. Could very well trouble the favourites...

Bookings

Please book in below with your NZ Number. Anyone is eligible for the last chance qualifier, even if you've not raced in the series up to now so don't be scared! After the 240, we shall try and run a normal 3 heats and Final meeting as well.

Thanks

Thanks to everyone that has booked in so far. As it stands, everyone will be in the 240 with no need for a last chance.

I will be closing bookings at 7.30, grids for the 240 races will be up shortly after that.

Meeting will start at 8.30.

Thanks

Grasser
