Well done for top scoring, Dan! Also thanks for running it to you, and to stewards Hooty and Stumpy.

A great meeting. Lots of white tops and lively but fair on-track action. The rollers need a bit of work but hardly surprising for the first meeting of the season with several new drivers.

Brilliant final win for Spike, but I hope he will also remember our superb battle for 10th place in heat 1 - that was one of my most enjoyable races ever on rFactor. Passing and repassing, side by side, lots of bumper, and I got the old man back on the last lap. Great stuff, mate!

Thanks for a good meeting Dan, Hooty, Stumpy, Dode and Drumb. Well done to Dan for top scoring and Spike for taking the final win.

It was a night of ups and downs for me really, but the racing was generally good. It was the usual first meeting of the season really, learning who is who, who you can trust to pass, who to put that little bit wider etc. I must say sorry to Marten who I accidently spun out last bend of the GN after making a mess of a last bend attempt.... sorry mate!

See you all next week.

Agree with MoR, The opening few meetings are never good for judging much.

Mixed night for me too, spun in first heat, last bend attach on Stox246 for 10th place in my 2nd heat then followed by a 2nd which I was surprised at due to the number of backmarkers that kept re-joining into the leading traffic.

The final didn't go too well, at the start Johno drove across the front of me to take the inside line around the bend but we made contact causing him to spin and then when I got lapped I got fired into the leader (229) by Jack and Liam. To be honest decided to pull over as accidentally 2 peoples races had been wrecked so apologies to them.

My only advise to the new guys would be to calm down on rollers, think when re-joining the racing line and watch for traffic coming through behind you. Apart from that it could be an interesting season....

WD Spike and Dan!

Hi all,

First meeting for years - I'd done a couple of Heat meetings years ago (probably 2006) and I thought it was well organised and good fun.

I hope I didn't get in the way of too many people but I was trying to stick on my line! Well done to all the winners, too.

One question: What is the crack for lining in grades? In the first heat, I was instructed to take a particular position but after that it seemed that there wasn't a lot of mixing of white grade going on, including some people overtaking on the formation roll (pre-roll roll!) to get to the front.

Thanks all,

Bagoo

You will find your answer there^^^^^.But of course you should already know because you will of read the rules.

Very true, Bagoo.

First meeting of the season, drivers are entitled to some leeway but it's important new drivers quickly learning the importance of swapping round fairly on the grids. I never got on the front row of the whites in 6 races, plus another white passed me on the pre roller and didn't let me back when we reached the grid.

Hopefully the grid formation plus the actual rollers will improve over the next week or two as drivers settle into the new season.

I didn't get to the front, either. Started 2nd row at best (and finished 3rd), but mostly at the back of the whites (and came nowhere)

I can understand people wanting to make a good start to the season and I hope, like you say, it does settle down.

Great first Formula 1 meeting for myself :) was really good fun, and extremely well organised. Thanks to all involved.

WD Danskin, still cant believe you got me on the last lap in heat 1! Even so well done...

As mentioned above i think a few people need to swat up on the rules before the next race, especially the one where you cant overtake your own grade in the lining up lap, and the White-top that was a grade gap in front of me even though i was on pole lol !! ;)

Thanks again to everyone looking forward to next one.

Fair enough Liam, its just from what I remember from watching the instant replay after the incident, can't be bothered looking at replays at all lol.

Just Jack then to blame lol, tut tut - a admin member spoiling the leaders race.
