UKDirt F1 2013 World Championship

Kings Lynn - 20:30 Thursday 26 September 2013

Hello folks! A short preview...

This Thursday takes us to the Norfolk Arena at Kings Lynn for the World Championship Final 2013! Defending champion and the man on pole DanSkin #236 has taken a few titles already this season, but the man on his outside TomD #112 currently leads the way in the National Points and is no stranger to the pressure of big races and success in them!

So far this season at Kings Lynn LiamB #90 and Ayrton Smith #64 have taken final wins, LiamB finds himself towards the middle of the field on the inside of row 8, while Ayrton will have to rely on qualifying through the consolation race to be the lone NZ representative. Closer to home, the Netherlands is well represented on the grid with 4 of 20 cars on the grid so far hailing from the land of clogs, tulips and windmills! Tsjalle #229 is the stand out Dutch driver this season, currently sitting in third place in the National Points, with a healthy set of wins to his name including the final at Yarmouth in June. Neke Burhenne #125 is the man on form at the moment, having taken the last two meeting finals, but is another driver who will have to qualify through the consolation race.

Johno #3, MoR #137, Green #115 and Stox #246 make up a formidable start to the inside line - all of whom have race wins to their name this season, but are yet to put a final among them. From the qualifiers the #236, #229, #315, #39, #129, #90 and #122 cars have all taken finals this season already, while Dodge #560 has the misfortune of being the only driver on the grid without a race win to his name this season - although that can be attributed a little to a lack of racing overall this season!

Based on the events of this Saturday's BriSCA F1 World Final, Tsjalle #229 starting from the outside row 2 position is our champion-in-waiting, although whether quite so many drivers will mysteriously forget how the front bumper works remains to be seen! Craig Finnikin made a good charge through to second place in the big race from the inside of row 5 - will Stox #249 be able to emulate this... or go one better?

Hi,

Typically, work want me to go and recruit some of the great unwashed tomorrow afternoon meaning it'll be tricky for me to get back in time tomorrow night as it'll all depend on motorway traffic.

If I book in, at what time can I book out without causing too many furrowed brows?

Cheers,

Bagoo
