As you all know I'm new to this game and I do 1000s of laps of practice per week, not to be quick but to be stable and able to get out of the way of the fast guys. Prior to the meeting in the practice room again the usual couple, despite being given room can't help going past me without sticking me in the wall. Whites and yellows race I was at the back pretty quick due to a racing incident which is fair enough. I then watched 2 yellows who were fast enough in the practice room to win the race, hit each other bend after bend, enabling me to keep with them and them not to catch anyone unless the other drivers made mistakes. Just a little thought put into it would benefit you both. The heats I enjoyed, only picked up a point but some good hard racing in both. The final I was spun before the flag dropped and by the time I rejoined the leaders were only quarter of a lap behind me. Despite this it took a good while for them to catch me. My biggest pet hate is leaders that again despite me giving them loads of room decide to hit me that hard it nearly flips my car. What's the point? If you tangle you'll only have yourself to blame. Can't remember the GN I was massively disinterested by that point. I have not reported any incidents from last nights meeting because I don't think people should be banned from something they pay for. But please can drivers sort there heads out for next week. Aub Posted April 22, 2014 Report Share Posted April 22, 2014 I enjoyed the meeting I didn't expect to much out of the meeting due to the track and the way to drive these nowadays. Mind you most of it was bad luck rather than being spun. Looking forward to the shale next week I cant remember the last time I did a shale meeting in f2s maybe 2 years ago. Peewee Posted April 22, 2014 Report Share Posted April 22, 2014 Ah Twisty the 2 yellows you are talking about would be me and mitch, we were just as fast as each other but were having a little fun with each other i know it probably didnt benefit us but it was some race we were having with some hard hits but not destroying each other, i personally was off the pace during the whole meeting and was never going to catch bullyjnr in that race lol Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Simon31 Posted April 22, 2014 Report Share Posted April 22, 2014 Twisty I can see where your comming from and in my opinion you drive the right way as your gaining a lot of experience, problem is and it happens every year you get drivers who won't pass because they have a bumper and have to use it, you pass them clean and they fire you every bend because "it's stock at racing" apparently! Twisty I have seen the start of the final for yourself and it was a joke you being spun before go was even called! You seem to have the right attitude and common sense as you left myself plenty of room anyway! Unfortunately there is some drivers who seem to have this mindset of, if there is a car in front of them, then they must hit it as hard as they can. I'm mates with the lad that spun me and I know it wasn't on purpose just frustrating. I know many have said it but Danskin is a true gent.
