Leeroy186 Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 Whenever I go to play bangers or hot rods, the menu music is messed up like its on super fast play! If i quit and go back in its usually ok after 2 or 3 goes. Does any1 know why this is? Its annoying as if i'm ever a little bit late for a heat i've either gota listen to messed music and engine sound or keep starting the game again til its fine. Cheers!
Cunny78 Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 I sometimes get this too, I just swap car manager over then it normally works. After my heat is finished I exit to multiplayer menu and press alt and tab onto desktop then open chat, when it's my heat close chat and click on bangers on the tool bar, dont have to worry about messed up noise then
Pedz 212 Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 i do that aswell cunny, cant beat it as there nothing worse than sound going
Guest Scrapman53 Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 I was told a while ago that it was just an XP thing. Not had it for a while though. Touch wood. lol
Munster Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 I get the fast music problem after I've reformatted my hard drive and not updated my sound driver, probably not your problem but maybe worth looking into if you can't get it sorted. Munster.
MoR137 Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 I have found that this is usually caused when i rush into the game, not letting the pc settle down first. For example, when ive just converted a skin, i copy it then got to the correct folder, then i click paste, but at the same time ive pressed the multimedia key on my keyboard which launches the mod launcher for me, then i click launch NASCAR Heat. This usually results in the messed up music. However, if i take it a little slower, ie clicking paste, then waiting 3 or 4 seconds to press the mod launcher then it seems to work fine. Maybe this could be it, as you may rush out of chat for your heat, and be in game before chat has fully closed down in the background? Just a thought anyway, seems to be a solution for me, to just take things a little bit slower. Cheers MoR
mickymoo Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 happends to me all the time, so thats a very good point mor .
JohnMid Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 I get this now and again- just close Heat and restart- allowing a bit of time for windows to sort its memory and stuff out can't hurt either (after running chat, paint progs etc).
Leeroy186 Posted August 10, 2005 Author Report Posted August 10, 2005 Cheers all for the replies. Don't think its me rushing as it does it even if the pc has been on for a bit. Will do what cunny suggested i think when i'm racing online Cheers
