Well done Reece a great track that I think we should visit every year.

To the novices: I know we were all new once and its hard to begin with but I have some advice - get a wheel.

Well I have to say, I enjoyed the racing, when I wasn't being binned and taken out by novices. I know we all have to start somewhere, but twice, I was taken out by cars rejoining right in front of me, no time to react. Tonight has left a bit of a sour taste with me. How I look forward to visiting a normal track again!

Good hard racing tonight, not gonna lie, pretty sad to see the dutch go to another driver but ill let it go with open arms, (more room for new sponsors now) ;) but Reece was unbelieveably quick all night & seemed to find his way through every pile up!! Massive congrats to him on the win & huge commiserations to Dan because i'm sure he would have been knocking on reeces door towards the end. Overall a top night with some great racing.... have to agree with CB we do all start somewhere, but i do advise a wheel for tracks like Baarlo:D Cya all next week at Belle Vue

im a novice, and I understand what you mean, however I don't think I was to bad at all so hopefully the minority of novices wont make us all look bad

Well done Reece, time for a real championship win now ae?

Haha it is a real championship.

Haha nah fair play mate clearly shown be them results you where faultless all night.

From a personal perspective that second restart on the final was just chaos and a 100x worse than the first. Whites and yellows just in a heap before go was even called but never mind.

Cheers for the meeting.

Not had any issue with you mate, just one particular one following me in and rejoining right infront of me, both in the same race. I know you all have to start somewhere, but some have made the rest look stupid tonight I'm afraid.

Think I might know who you are talking about mate, Glad to here you didn't have an issue with me, Shame some people can't understand the clean racing side of stockcar racing, nudge and pass not follow in, happened a few times to me tonight mate, See you at belle vue

Is this not normal for a closed grid start? in both starts I was shoved on the brake out to the fence and followed in but knew it was coming.

To be honest I thought the racing would be worse than it was tonight with the size of the track. A few hard but fair hits given and taken by me so for a change I'm not going to moan. :47_47:

As for the new guys a Wheel is a must on Baarlo an to be fair you can pick up a wheel on certain sites for less than a new pad.

Well done Reece an a big thanks to Wardieee Stumpy an the rest of the admins.

Well done Reece for domination tonight (I didn't notice the clean sweep when I posted the results up!), domination!!!

Thanks Stumpy and Wardieee for their stewarding assistance tonight.

I thought the track worked out quite well (I've never raced a meeting on the long track), although will agree I was disappointed with the quality of both final starts (I hope / thought the second was much improved though).

All in all some good racing on a "different" track, pretty brutal at times.

...

For the novices - I would firstly draw your attention to the skinpack thread that FastTrack has just posted. Please get yourself a skin sorted out - it's only for your benefit... you'll be eligible to race in championship races, but more importantly it'll help everyone else identify who it is they're racing against. Secondly, note that there are controller configuration guides and car setup guides on the UKSOM and UKDirt websites.

Thanks all for racing. :king:

Unusual meeting really in practice couldnt get the steering right it felt like i had too much play in a steering box lol heats it was as i hoped it to be just nice and easy to drive i had decent pace for my grade I believe played it sensible didnt go in all guns blazing my points were gained by others faults had a cracking race with danw and chevy in the same race saw chevy thought red top guna batter me but i pushed myself had to keep him at bay but i was just holding him up so moved up a touch and ran him hard and fair perhaps a last bend hit could have got me my place bk but it was right to stay behind

Thanks to admins

Thanks to everyone

Reece can i have a bit of what uve got lol congrats on the title and perhaps the biggest grade mover in uk dirt this year

To be honest I think it may have been me martyn if ur talking about the 1st heat if it was wasn't intentional and wasn't intended to ruin ur nights racing was first go in a f1 and was fast racing took abit of getting used to

But like I said if it was me I appogise wasn't intentional

Well done Reece seems to be i am typing that alot lately, your recent form has been very impressive keep it up. :king:

To all the rookies ignore the haters listen to the advice from Danskin use one of the pad/wheel setups on The UKDirt or UKSOM sites they really help. All of the mods drive much easier with a wheel properly setup,a wheel is the tool for maximum enjoyment. Also practice make perfect.I am always cheering on the new drivers so keep going keep practicing and the results will sure to follow.

Throughout the week we run 4 formulas. Monday's and Wednesdays see us racing in cars with independent suspension and furious acceleration, whilst Thursday's see us race 600+ bhp cars that merely weigh half a tonne.

Tuesday nights we race front wheel drive cars with about 50bhp... The perfect place to learn to drive the cars, how to 'race' rfactor and how to hit/take a hit. Instead people are turning up, racing at 120+ mph around tracks banked at 30 degrees then complaining that it's hard and that its so new and different!

Jump in the minis, do a few meetings and learn how to drive rfactor. The skills you'll pickup in the minis, are he exact same ones you will use in the F1s doing 3 times the speed... It's not a rant, it's not a windup, that's genuine advice (and people don't get much)

Thanks, Dan, Stumpy and crew. Well Done Reece, wish I could say well driven but quite frankly I didnt see you all night to be able to tell but winning all the races you must have so congrats. :o

Nice to try the Long track and was alot better than I expected, alot of good racing after the usual first few laps carnage and lead to some real close racing all night.

Some good advice given there, I was in the same boat as you new guys last yr so know how hard it can be when you 1st take to the track. All I can say is just listen to what's been told on here and practice cos it's not all about being fast it's more about being consistent with your lap times and just cos a car has a bumper on it doesn't mean it needs to be used. If a faster guy is behind you let them past and try to follow them round taking the same lines and you will soon pick it up :-)
