Dbecks Posted July 17, 2017 Report Share Posted July 17, 2017 wd wardieee wd danskin stumpy leek danskin wardieee ben greensport wardy these guys all do a fanastic job to provide us with the oppotunity to race something some of us can only hope for in real life so i put the time in and i mean hours sometimes to get a setup sorted and make sure the effort going in is rewarded with points. i come in with the attitude of race fairly and ull get it back. my attitude means f******** all to id say a majority of people, i know who to trust and not to trust which is an honest opinion of the matter weather to race or not ...yes i turn up regardless the tolerance level has gone now and im completly fed up with our racing the dp team can only do so much to contend with this battle of making the racing right the rest lands on our shoulders as a whole ive tried to hold a value of racimg right for too long and see idiots have more succes than me and i wonder do i become and idiot and see how it goes? nah thats not why i joined this ive missed maybe 5 meetings since i joined in may 2014 and got maybe 4 dps for silly rejoins in the 2s id say a decent record i am now 99% sure of walking away from all mod on here i actually lived for monday night twoooz couldnt get enough of it now i turn up knowing its gona be kaos and generally do not enjoy myself sure i have better weeks than others but there are too many bad weeks and i am not a bad driver i dont think us as a group race week in week out we should be racing each other like idiots but it happens so fellow racers how can the racing be improved cos id quite like a crack at being hoggy with a silver roof or kane with the irish roof id like a crack at a euro roof or a gold roof like wardieee (too many roof colours pal) id even like a season like leek does consistantly id even make do with kanes season im sure im.not the only one striving to beat theses boys beat this ricky james .... There was great race in the heats which Hoggy won there was 6 reds or ss racing for the win no ridiculous hits just proper racing great to watch and probably great to be involved in. Onto a few posts regarding standards and such, the simple way to work this is as a F2 DP team (of which I am NOT part of for those who dont know) simply watch each replay from tonight and anything you think needs reviewing do so, F1s were a bit heavy last Thursday after a few quiet meetings so I sat down and watched all the replays, if you get DP then thats just life and as the rules state, "If you dont do anything wrong then you wont get banned". If you get complaints obviously deal with them as they should be but there is nothing stopping a DP team for reviewing all the replays if they wish to do so. Last night produced some good racing as pointed out by Stumpy and some horrible racing. Yes it is stockcar racing and yes the bumpers are there to be used, but it is quite often faster to follow the car infront, get a clean breakaway then battle it out. The majority of the respectable drivers do that and have shown positive results by crawling up the grades from doing so. A couple of examples of this for me would be ThomasK and LouisH, both drivers are relatively on the pace, but also do not go flying in every single bend to the car in front of them. LouisH last night even moved over to let faster drivers through last night, as i'm sure he is aware by doing so he can a) not get into a battle with them which slows both drivers up and normally ends in less points/worse positions. b) by letting faster drivers by, you can then follow their lines, find their braking points and become a faster driver yourself. Its how many of the newer faster drivers have upped their speed throughout the year, i still do it during practice to try to gain that little bit extra speed. Now, if you do have any complaints, instead of mouthing of at admin members, either on Facebook, during the meeting or in the chat, please can you give either me or Kane a pm on the forum so it can get dealt with accordingly. If no complaints are sent then there it is unlikely to get dealt with. It is hard to see everything that happens during a meeting, especially when I am in a race, i cant suddenly stop, boot someone because they did an OTT hit or followed someone in, I have to either rely on other admin members, such as Stumpy to spot it and remove the offender during the race or bring it to my attention after the race. But he cannot see everything that happens during a race, he is only one person at the end of the day and, i'm sure you all know from watching racing in real life you cannot see everything that happens on the track during one single race. This is why the complaint system is in place and if people do not use it properly and then moan nothing gets done, its simply down to you for not following the correct procedure. I unfortunately loaded Harold last night for something he did not do, after being able to review it very quickly after a rather honest person came forward during the meeting he was then able to carry on, again i apologise Harold, I could only go off what i was told at the time. Driving standards are a problem,I do prefer to just give the driver in front, if they are slower a little tap wide and then go up the inside and carry on... however there are some the need to then come wailing back in flat out and either, ruin the other persons race, or slow both cars up. As i said above, if you do want to get quicker, earn more points and make your way up the grades then the best way to do that, apart from hours of practice is to follow the faster cars during race situations, you can then see how they manage going through traffic and see when they make the smart decisions to either, move a slower car in front, or follow... which to be honest it is often better to during a race, even if the car leading you is slightly slower as brains over bumpers always wins.
