videocard problem ?

a guy i know installed the banger offline game

so far so good , but when he starts the game it says:

 

Your videocard reports that it does not support 3D graphics

if hou have previously crashed you need to reboot

 

does he have to download a patch or a new videocard , or is there a trick to skip this problem ?

i would try first finding the make of card your m8 has got and see if ther are any updated drivers for it if ther is and still don't work cud try the compatibilty mode or get a new card might be something else tho

Unless it is an old card which does not support 3d try a reinstall of directX,I had the same message when a game installed directX9 on a card which only supported directX7.

DirectX 9 *should* work fine on any GFX card in terms on installing it- but stranger things have happened.
