Ukdirt banger models

I have recently downloaded ukdirt bangers and have tried all the models, just to try them and see which are the best but, about half of them don't work.

I can put a skin on these models and get all the way through the game until you get to the screen where it gives you the option to practice, qualify, race etc.

When i click race it crashes and says that nascar heat has crashed unexpectedly.

I think it could be the 'broderbund card type' files that are corrupt or infected or something

Something to do with the ds wheel.

Have you downloaded every patch for UK-Dirt bangers and installed them in order?

May need download the files and reinstall if they were all installed already.

Or make sure that Nascar Heat is patched to version 1.72e/1.80 (Go to options screen, check the number in the bottom right corner)

It's built into the ds .car file!

cunny the ds 420 rim is standard in file,it not one of the option wheels tho m8

if you crack open the ds .car file there will be a file called dsrim or whatever, it's for the wheels that appear on the ds if you don't want a different wheel, my guess is that the ds file is corrupt or something.

That's why I suggested reinstalling/redownloading. Also if the patch isn't recent enough, you can't use multiple wheels?

in the drivers file i haven't added a wheelbase name at all anyway and the error only effects certain models e.g mk10 jaguar, granada limo, sierra, marina ......

roughly half but i don't see a difference with the drivers data on the other cars to my car.

Also i checked the patch and it is a 1.72e so no probs there then.

And i have only just re-downloaded all the files, and still the same problem with the same cars.

It sounds as though you need to treble check that you have installed each UK-Dirt Banger update and patch in the correct order.

This was something that I was going to do whilst I was admin but then I thought that there may be some people still on dial-up so they would like smaller downloads, we hadn't got the space to host the small downloads as well as a complete one.
