Counter552 Posted January 24, 2021 Report Share Posted January 24, 2021 (edited) A membership is required to race online in the UKDirt leagues which runs from 1st March to 28th February each year.The membership has been FREE since March 2019 with the primary objective of getting more people racing and having some fun, particularly in the current pandemic and lockdowns.The high specification dedicated race server we use is one of the best race servers available for UK rFactor and Wreckfest online league racing.However, this comes at a considerable cost and UKDirt can only continue to run in its current form in the medium to long term with some form of income to cover these costs.Previous surveys have shown the vast majority who responded would be prepared to pay something to keep UKDirt going using a dedicated server and we introduced a Donation recognition scheme for 2020.A huge thank you to those who were able to donate during 2020, including those who enjoyed the real life F1 eSeries and donated through the BSCDA.Whilst the amount donated was truly amazing in these challenging times, it was simply not enough to cover a full years running costs.We have no option but to reintroduce annual membership fees for those wishing to race in the leagues to make sure we can continue to pay for the dedicated race serversAfter consideration of potential different tiers depending on what you race, for 2021 we are keeping it simple. the minimum membership fee for the 2021 membership year is £10 to recognise the level of Donations in 2020, existing Gold members have a reduced minimum fee rate of £5 for the 2021 membership year. all members can still make an extra donation at the same time as paying their membership fee if they so choose PLEASE PAY YOR MEMBERSHIP FEE BY 28th FEBRUARY 2021 if you plan to race in any of the leagues.The preferred method for payment is PAYPAL or Bank Transfer.Please send payment to sales@ukdirt.co.uk stating your Nickname and using "friends or family" as that will help keep our fees down.orDirect Bank Deposit/Internet Bank Transfer (PM for details)orCheque/Postal Order (PM for details)Lifetime memberships were previously awarded to MC, Kev, Leek, Counter and James for all the behind scenes work they have done to keep the websites and racing alive over many years.In addition, the Head Admin of each league will also be awarded their membership each year they remain Head Admin to acknowledge all the hard work required to keep their league alive and kicking.We will maintain the Gold, Silver and Bronze recognition badges on the Forum, with all members paying their fee for 2021 becoming Silver members. Any member also making at least a further £5 donation ie paying £15 (or over) for their 2021 membership will become Gold members.Membership is only open to those who are not on a UKDirt Life Time Ban. Counter552 Posted February 24, 2021 Author Report Share Posted February 24, 2021 A gentle reminder that if you plan to race after Sunday night, you will need to have a paid membership status as listed above. Thank you to those who also made an additional donation on top of the minimum £10 annual fee, reflected in the Gold status next to your name. Also, as normal, we will be changing the race server passwords on Monday 1st March and only paid members will be able to access them through the Ukdirt site members area. Paid members should not provide anyone with details of the race server passwords and anyone found doing so will be in significant breach of the rules and potentially face a ban, please don't let that happen to you.
