kruiz Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 (edited) After a very impressive season from the low budget driver Tim Warwick and still giving the top drivers a run for their money at any track i decided that it would be a good idea to paint his skin. Bit of a dodgy chassis i think to have put it on but the for the job. Here are a few screenshots of it: [attachmentid=4357] [attachmentid=4358] The car is downloadable HERE Edited January 3, 2006 by kruiz
crasher407 Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 who's tim warwick never heard of him did he used to race a long while ago with your dad kruiz good job m8 and if your up for it i have a skin for you to do as you seem to like doing the real life skin's
kruiz Posted January 3, 2006 Author Report Posted January 3, 2006 Yes he's being racing for a very long time even as far back as with my dad, lol with that same car (seriously!), i don't think he has ever changed makimg it probably the oldest car in BriSCA F1 that is still reguarly used. Dispite this he is real crowd favourite because he still has push and shove with all the top drivers, he never gives up. You've probably never heard of him as he mainly does shale meetings now. Because of this he doesn't get many points any more, still worth watching though. Here's a few pictures i took at NIR World Final day: [attachmentid=4371] [attachmentid=4372] And just to prove he still races at regular meetings! [attachmentid=4373]
kruiz Posted January 3, 2006 Author Report Posted January 3, 2006 I like painting real life skins because for now i'm not racing online so i'm just adding to the competitors offline! What car did you want me to paint? I can't paint really difficult skins but i'll sure i can try it. What did you have in mind?
crasher407 Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 sorry kruiz was tongue in cheek as i had my 1st ever outing in tim's old car [attachmentid=4379] however i would like you to try and paint this if you can it is on the elwell chassis in the briusca legend s game and is the ex elwell car so should be a match [attachmentid=4380]
kruiz Posted January 3, 2006 Author Report Posted January 3, 2006 Hi Crasher, Yes the Elwell chassis looks quite close to that. I assume you want the bottom car. I will try to paint it. I should be able to do it. All i'll need now is a few more pictures of it. (rear, other side and possibly bonnet?) And also the template to the chassis.

AlecTPR Posted January 4, 2006 Report Posted January 4, 2006 And just to prove he still races at regular meetings! [attachmentid=4373] Is this the motor he's running recently. Think I remember seeing it at the Belle Vue meetings with it's distinctive wing.

I will start work on it as soon as i can get me a templateof the lintern chassis, which is what the elwell car is called in the game.

kruiz Posted January 5, 2006 Author Report Posted January 5, 2006 Yes i think your right yellow looks better.
AlecTPR Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 Yes i think your right yellow looks better. think it would have looked a lot better as a blue as it would have matched the chassis. How about turning a wheel again and see if you can make it......

crasher407 Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 don't know if this will help or not but the colour's were volkswagen beetle orange,(the old beetle not the new one)ford electric blue and the yellow was just called daytona yellow, like i say don't know if that help's as i doubt there is a paint shop on here that sell's them still and cheers for doing it and im sure it will look good and i can have a whale of a time burying dad neil and tim in my old car
MoR137 Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 Kruiz...... you may have a hard time if your relying on fonts for real life skins. Most sign writers tend not to use fonts which are publiclly available, or make the thier own designs themselves, so the best way to get a close rendition of a paintjob like the one brian evans did here to is to make the graphics by hand, its long winded tracing all the shapes, but worth it at the end.
