Happy Birthday Kendo (How old are you !?!?) See you soon online in F2.
-
[attachmentid=2127] I took this photograph from the Grandstands at Williams Grove, Pennsylvania on Thursday the 26th May. This may explain why 3 of the current top F2 drivers weren't racing over the Bank Holiday weekend (and 1 former F2 driver). Even from the back I think you will all recognise them ....... On the Friday night, the current V8 World Champion and family were sitting in the row behind us - guess he wasn't racing over the Bank Holiday weekend either ! We did 4 World of Outlaw sprint meetings in the space of a week. The F2 guys above did a further 2 domestic sprint car meetings ( but I had the wife with me ......). As usual the racing was awesome. The saturday night meeting at Hagerstown didn't finish until 1.30am sunday (thought we were at Skeggy !!!) due to a rain delay. My favourite driver Sammy Swindell won the race (passing his 16 year old son in the process) and briefly halting the King of the Outlaw's (Steve Kinser) winning streak. Already planning the next trip even if it mean's missing most of the UK F1 meetings this year.

thanks guys As Wrighty said, we're in Pennsylvania watching World of Outlaws sprintcars and I've just found a PC to catch up with the UkDirt stuff. We've been to 2 meetings so far with 2 more to go before we fly back on Sunday. When I get back I'll post up a photo competition of a few people we spotted sitting in the grandstand at Williams Grove. Cheers again from the oldie Kendo

Happy Birthday Alb Just when I thought I was catchin' you too Sorry for not saying anything in Rods meet, just seen this.
-
Sorry to hear your news Joker, hope things work out ok for you and the family. I agree with Lee that we will be able to revive the Outlaw series. I won't be around the next 2 saturday's as I'm off to see the BEST oval racing in the world - WoO Sprintcars in the States. After that I'd be happy to help with ideas etc. Cheers

Hope you had a good day m8. (Been away last 2 days so just found this)
-
Pleased to hear Ali is OK, it looked a sore one I thought last night's meeting was a bit better than normal, every bit is good as some domestic meetings I've travelled a lot further to see I think both the F2s and the Saloons need slowing down a bit to re-capture the days of multi action per lap rather than meeting. I can't see how moving to slicks helps this, especially with the added problem of testing a selection after each race. Still think it's worth the £9, but sometimes wonder when my wife attends too and its nearly £20 !!! I'll compare next weekend with the F1 double header tomorrow (Bank Holiday traffic allowing), and £50 for entrance tickets alone.

Happy Birthday BathBOY ...... (do you need a new nick now )

Hi, Counter 552/1 booking in for both. I could try hosting Joker - it seemed OK the last time.
-
Happy Birthday Michael, have a great day.
-
It was a good meeting in terms of good close racing. I think the LCH Final was a good example of how much fun the mod can be which is one of the reason's I think it's great that Joker/Lee/Wrighty are running this league. Also great to see Aussie on the pace in the non-contact stuff ........ See you all next week, hopefully with a few others managing to spare the hour after the shopping trip but before the real life racing
-
I'll probably make the 10 minute trip, haven't yet visited the wardrobe to make the selection ... I usually sit in the stand (wi the wife and out of the rain ), but will make the trip round to turn 3 sometime.

Counter bookin plz

Hi Ace There are a lot of US sites with various mods and tracks - here's a couple to keep the addiction going .... http://www.texasspeedracing.com/ and for tracks (mainly roadcourses) http://mail2.teambattlezone.com/%7Elucky/files.html

Great stuff Cabs, well done m8.
-
I will probably be at Cowdie Pac. Eric is threatening to have the F1 ready, so outside chance may be at Coventry
-
Happy Birthday Fozz Have a great celebration (hope the hangover lasts until Monday, give us F2 white tops 1 last chance)
-
Gotta book in I guess, though Wrighty is master of Road Courses and the maximum is a sure T bet .........
-
Neither did I m8, I caught my favourite fence post at snowke when I was closing in on you in the final (2 - 3 laps in) ..... I don't like the sound of what you are inferring above
-
Enjoyed this afternoon, even when the Snowke post kept getting me. Hope to see a few more new faces next week for some Outlaw fun. Agree the Rod final was a bit messy - but Outlaws could never be accused of being "roundy roundy" Well done on your Final Joker Is that you closing in on 3 in a row ?
-
Hi Kendo, be great to see you in rods and US Legends next saturday. We usually get finished around 4ish, plenty time to get off to local racing. Always managed to make it to Cowdie in plenty of time. It would have to be a "nudge, nudge" here though as both are non-contact

Counter 552 / 1 booking in please

P.S, A few old pics on my site(link at bottom of thread) 10989[/snapback] Some crackin' pictures there Andy Bring back Mk1 Cortina's, Capri's and Mk2 Escorts - I think I was at every meeting in these photo's ! (especially remember Charlie's cowcatcher front bumper) Even remember some of the punch ups ! Take it you were a big Robert Bruce fan Andy
-
He was out, not sure if he will be (allowed) again for a while though. Healthy turn out of rods with some pretty quick newbie's making it quite entertaining with white top 54 winning the final after the escort of 777's engine expiry slowed down the chargin Billy Bonnar. Much better turnout than the last 2 weeks with 402 Webster making the trip up again. He had good battles all night long with Lindsay Wilson. Didn't write down who was there, but some good racing, with white top 501 picking up another final win. I think there was a big engine blow up in almost every formula last night.

Ok here Joker, maybe a bit lonely, bit at least it's a small track I'll put a praccy server up around 2ish to check my PC can handle it
