i've got mine ordered when i was still at school .. needed it for my subjects at school ..costed a fair price but it was worth it .. so its a legal version .. still working with 3D Max 5 tho .. Or you could just rename the skin painting to section to skin painting and rendering forum, as thats what it is anyway, no need to start a new forum imo. Also, if you felt inclined too kev, maybe a small note at the top of the page about uploading files etc, everyone has a different view on so it may be worth reminding people this I know that we have this at the moment but just thought it was better to have 3d max stuff and painting separated .. maybe things get more clearer for some people and we dont have the same questions over and over again. We could post a rendering guide as people ask a lot about this and a thread where we can share scenes etc .. Cheers Mark

I rendered that one .. was one of the best scenes i've ever had but lost it and couldnt find it anywhere .. so if anyone still has it i would be very happy if someone could post it here .. Cheers Mark

it aint bad for a first skin m8 .. but apart from the numbers every sign on that car you can download on forum as they are from skin decal sheets .. why not trying a bit harder and make your own signs by exploring and reading tutorials about photoshop or paint shop pro (dunno what you use) Good luck with it .. Here's just an idea, cause noticed that 3d max is getting more and more popular, isnt it an idea to make a 3D section on forum were we can post our scenes, renders, models etc .. problem also solved that people are asking everywhere for 3D stuff .. Cheers Mark

Just to come back to the rendering part in Munsters post, i also never understood why it wasnt allowed to render. As you all know i'm rendering F1 and 2's for a while now and before people started editing models nobody had a problem with it. The whole thing started when people started to edit those models, yes then i understand that modelers have a problem with it, ban them from the forum i say .. but leave people who like to render and arent doing anything wrong with them models alone. Hopefully MoR replies at Munsters post as i'm rather curious what the answer will be at Munsters question, whats the point of asking permission, what are you trying to reach with that ?? ( This isnt meant in a bad way, again i'm just curious) But what if someone asks you if he could render your model and you say no .. who's gonna stop him from doing it anyway ? .. Dont get me wrong Mor (and also Dragon) as you both did some mighty fine models for our beloved game. Cheers Mark

Dragon is right mini tetz .. indeed the skin is good for a first attempt but .. 1. Why not wait till the car is racing again somewhere and take your camera and make pictures of them signs .. 2. Why not asking the lad who requested the skin for some clearer pictures, if he is a member of team 175 he should have acces to the car or having contact with people who deffo have . 3. Why not asking on forums like pewi or maybe even stoxnet if people have pictures of the car in question. These post arent meant to slag people off and i'm sure Dragons post also isnt, you just have to see it as constructive critisism. Dragon is an experienced painter and he knows what he's talking about .. saying things like "Who gives you the right to flame me?" arent the right things to say to people where you can learn from. My opinion on this is that Sparky indeed is a bit right on what he says. He indeed is still trying to make models and improve the game .. nothing wrong with that. Only i think if he would change his attitude etc and stopped annoying people so much that he would get more help and actually could finisch a model for the game. There;s nothing wrong with people who are trying to improve or add stuff to the game we all love. Further i dont think you should ban people just because they are non paying members. I also was a long time non paying member but i just enjoyed the forum, the discussions and for me just the skinpainting section so dont take that away from people who feel the same and not paying for jolt cause they dont wanna race online or just dont have the time for it.
