Well that would have been the case if the ps3 wasn't so damn hard to develop for, since it is GTAIV is being held back a year late. While I'm on the subject of the ps3's development issues, be careful when buying multi-platform games as most of them suffer from bad frame rates being quick crappy ports of the 360 versions. Also allot of games are much cheaper on the 360 right now than the ps3 but mainly those are games that have been on the 360 for some time but have just been released on the ps3. At the end of the day the 360 dominates online play and thats all I really care about. It also has the good few offline games like Mass Effect that I'm really looking forward too. I see the ps3 as a powerhouse console but has all this rubbish about it and has not been able to live up to it's expectations. None of the games look any better than the 360 (most run worse as I said above) and that is what bothers me. It seems the ps3 is taking the same path as the ps2 and trying to pass itself off with flashy game covers but it won't work this time if they don't make tonnes of games. I loved Sony back in the Playstation 1 days but I guess they just pissed me off too much after all the ignorant mass marketing of the ps2 so I got an Xbox; got Xbox Live and haven't looked back. Still, I would be crazy enough just to buy a ps3 for MGS4 if it stays ps3 exclusive. will be ps3 exclusive 8/10 because the fact they might even need 2 blu-ray discs for the game cos of so much detail involved. that equates to around 8 xbox 360 discs and if its one blu-ray ure looking at 2 or more This is why I'm thinking about getting a Blu-ray drive for my PC, I could then back up the whole of my PC on about 5 or 6 disks! Would probably be cheaper just to get some more HDD's though. The only thing bad I see about Blu-ray is fitting that much data on to one disk is a bit much and would make the disk ultra sensitive, a few small scratches could bugger it up. But yeah, I really want to get a ps3 eventually. If not for MGS4 then just to see how it compares to the 360. IMO the Xbox won last gen closely followed by the Gamecube then the ps2 last, I won't compare the Dreamcast cause it was early on and it never got a chance to really take off.

Aint Sony fanboys great.

IMO, Xbox 360 with Forza 2 and PGR4, you can't go wrong.
-
Yeah I think the damage is weak in this one, it was better in PGR2. I remember in PGR2 you could damage most of the cars enough to make them look like another car had been dropped on top of em.

I got Project Gotham Racing 4 on the Xbox 360 a few days ago and it's proper brill, it has the good old Mini's in it and some tracks close to our own short oval's so I made this video of replays I saved when I raced people on Xbox Live.
-
Sounds like a great idea and I think this would actually promote more Jolt usage
-
I don't really take much pictures, mainly I only record videos but from the ones I got I think this is the best and I'm currently using as my desktop background.

Some superb racing up/along there today but a bloody shame it took so long to clear up the cars I got all the races recorded besides a heritage race when I went to the pits to see the damage on 419 after 428's revenge hit (I knew it was coming ) and the F2 consolation. The vids will be up on http://uk.youtube.com/vixtro in good time if anyones interested . Not too great quality and you don't see it all but hey, it's free and you can't beat that

Right lads I was going to get them all up in order starting with the Saloon World Qualifier but due to popular demand I have all the Metro Bangers up now Heat 1: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=qz6LkGvz_bY Heat 2: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=2Wz4V5kL860 Final: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=otBP20XTyAo Destruction Derby: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=PqblePfR0gk I was down the wrong end for the DD so I got very little of it Oh and heres the Saloon world qualifier, the first one I got up: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Beb5fqVTjGo

He got put pretty hard in the wall in the second lap and ended up at the back of the pile up, allot of people passed him so he was out of any chance of winning basically.

Well I was down muddy ol Smeatharpe this weekend to see the Saloon world final and it was bloody brill! None other than 401 - Steve Webster won it who is banned for 6 months from the previous meeting so no gold roof on the tracks for a while I have pretty decent vids of nearly all the races (the good ones anyway) and was lucky enough to be on the right side of the track for most races including the Saloon world final pile up so look out for those on my YouTube profile in the near future here: http://uk.youtube.com/vixtro Anyway heres some pics I took: The new 2007 Saloon world champ just after he entered the pits from getting his roof done in the workshop round the back of the track: F2 hook up's and stuff: Hulks Metro followed in and yes I got it on video : All in all I was a fab meeting and next I hope I can get up to Arena for the F2 world final so I can route for Tim Farrell

Ringwoods's Bangers never disappoint and look out for the pit bend burners

Going for the Saloon world final, staying for the Metro Madness.

Highly recomended Banger videos from the 90's

My dad tells me up in the attic he has a Betamax tapes up there with all sorts of formula racing on and one in particular of intrest to me, a 58 stock car world championchip race that apparantly had no stoppage even with all the carnage going on Shame our two Betamax players were thrown out ages ago cause they were broken -
I would say Xbox 360 and the reason why? Cheaper - I have seen Premium Xbox 360's go for thew usual price of £280 but with 2 free games and in most of the deals you get to pick any 2 games. The ps3 is £425 but I have seen it with one free game though. Better third party support - Microsoft have been handing out Dev kits to major developers way before the 360 was released and so third party support is strong and growing even stronger. Also most of the games out and coming out for the ps3 are also on the 360 and thus are made cheaper to acquire like; Resident Evil 5, Devil May Cry 4 and Final Fantasy XIII. The ps3 on the other hand is a very difficult machine to develop games on and allot of third party game developers have turned away due to costly and long game development. Xbox Live! - Now this is where the 360 really kicks the ps3's arse! Xbox live is the best way to play people online via console gaming but it may be £35 for a year but if you just go on ebay you can get a year code off someone for only £25 ( thats what I did) then you can play all you want for a year. You have all the downloads as well but you don't need to subscribe an account for that, it's free. The ps3 has online gaming but it will be nothing compared to Microsoft's mighty servers (hell Sony even asked Microsoft if they could share their servers ). It's good for those who don't have a PC though cause it has a built in web browser (ripped from the PSP) and for all the Emo's out there, special integration with MySpace! Better controllers - I was sceptical about the 360 controller at first (I like the big old chunky controller) but it turned out to be great. So much so that I use it to race on here all the time The ps3 controller is basically the ps2 controller again but sacrificing the rumble feature for some tacked on motion sensing and L2/R2 are more trigger like. Thats not a bad thing though cause allot of people like the ps2 controller but personally, I find it crap for anything like racing and FPS games. Films - It all comes down to what you think will take off, HD-DVD or BLU-RAY. All of the above is based on what I think. If I had the money I would go and buy both but if I had the money to just get one, I would defiantly get the 360. The PSX (first playstation) was an amazing console but the ps2 was crap in my eyes even compared to the Dreamcast. So I feel the ps3 is just going to be worse but bigger, uglier and more expensive. The Xbox was just an ace console and was there for those of us at the time who wanted a cheap solution to PC like gaming (like myself). I currently don't have a 360 as my brother was the one who owned it and he moved out a couple months ago. But I will be getting one when Halo 3 comes out

It looks almost as good as renders and thats saying something Any thing happening with F2, Bangers, Stock Cars or is it just F1 and Hot Rods for the time being?

Yeah I saw that one, they say he always does his trademark cart wheel when he wins

I started this line pile a while ago but on my old PC it was really taking it too it's limits and was terribly laggy making it very fiddly and take ages to do anything. Today I just remembered about it so I went and finished it which was a piece of FILTERED on my current PC So without further a do, here it is:

I'm not sure if I have much in the ways of the track surroundings but I will have a look in my old photo collection to see I had a look on google maps and I found this decent birds eye view of Matchams. It might be helpful when making sure everything is in the right place etc. [attachmentid=15739]

If you need any help with what the track looks like and it's surroundings, I have allot of videos of my old man racing there back in 1991, I can post up in good quality

Yea I kind of knew that when I saw in the end credits at the bottom; 2002 but I was just wondering if its new for Men and Motors.
-
Yesterday about 3:PM (been at home all week ill) I switched to the Men and Motors channel to see a show called "Stocks Bangers and Crash". Each episode was about half an hour long and they were playing back to back until 5 or 6. Is this new cause I watch Men and Motors here and there but have never seen this on there before. Its quite good, Well they do miss allot of action and the commentators are a bit boring but its still better than Bangers and Smash that was on Live TV. I only watched the first 2 episodes and they showed: Unlimited (Teams) Banger rods Saloon Stock Cars Van Bangers 3 wheeler bangers (Robin Reliant's) All the bangers were at Sheffield besides most of the Stock Cars and I think the Van Bangers which were at Kings Lynn.
