hi m8,looking much better, but see you chris burgyone motosport, try and make the the burgyone larger and the chris and motorsport small. try and get the motorsport to run ontop of the larger burgyone.

just a tip m8.

another try and use the stroke at number 1 on your writing. and use a small amount of drop shadow m8. thats why your gettin a big outline on your big writing.of course you masy like it like that thats upto you m8.

you can also run a line around the wing and body templates.makes it more professional looking.

heres the template of my randall car i did m8 to give you an idea of how to lay it out with lines,etc.

yup just click ok, if you can try and get a new provider aol is crap, i had aol when i stayed with mu my and dad it it kept disconnecting. ive also heard of others who use aol with the same prob

It's maybe a problem with Bebo, as I'm getting a similar thing happening. None of the pictures come up, and the site is very slow. Bebo is the only site I have this problem with, everything else is fine.

yes the pic opens but nothing appears.its the same with all the pics, only thing that pics appear ok is in the slideshow on the same screen. i system restored back 2 weeks but no diffrence. havent installed anything i know off. i have ran spyware on ad-ware etc , all is fine internet speeds are all spot on and broswer pages run fast.

well i thought it was bebo also erik but as i say when i change to my laptop the site comes up no probs,works fine and all. its annoying.

Hi (again lol),

 

Half way through the Ukdirt Season (roughly) in all mods, and on average I have been disconnected from at least one race per meeting, and I am now desperate to get to the bottom of it.

 

I am only disconnected in meetings, never in practice which is strange so it must have something to do with the gap in between races.

 

I have a 2mb DSL connection with AOL but other people use AOL and don't have (as many) problems.

 

I have 114gb left on the memory out of 145gb and all graphics options say 'awesome' in brackets so I assume its not that. I turn down all the options to there lowest settings, except resolution which I put on 1024 x 768 which is my default screen resolution anyway.

 

I restart the computer & run enditall & ccleaner before each meeting and sometimes before each race if i get time/remember.

 

And even after all that I still struggle to keep my connection and small things like waiting to long in Jolt before a race or waiting a long time on the grids makes my connection unstable.

 

My connection seems to be worse during the 3rd race of the meeting, and recently my AOL software crashes as well. I have tried reinstalling the software several times and the last time I did it it left me without a connection at all for 2 months and now an even more unstable connction.

 

 

The only other thing I recently thought of, is the modem. It is a BT Voyager 105 USB ADSL modem. It is as old as my computer (about 3 years). I just wonder if the modem may need replacing or possibly any other part of the connection bewtween my computer and the phone socket as some parts may even be old than my computer from the last computer I had.

 

Any help is greatly appreciated, I know I have started similar threads and thought my connection had improved but it proved to be only temporary.

have you tried resetting your modem before the racing, get on the phone to your internet provider and ask them to run checks on the line when you have ukdirt on. i did this a few weeks back as i was gettin same probs. just tell them you connection is spiking and you play online games. they should sort it out.

also try turning off ALL of your firewalls even windows and give it a try

using bebo as an example here but when i go onto my homepage all of the pics that are meant to come up and my homepage background have gone blank and or just red pictures in the boxes instead of what should be there. pic below as an example.

this has only changed over nite. my youtube vids and stuff play ok , and my games also. i thought it maybe graphics related but games are fine also. i am also experiancing it being a bit slow to start games up, i think the 2 could be related. any ideas on the problem.

Mr Beef had this problem the other night in the F2 and after a few suggestions it turned out that he was on a wireless connection.

 

Are you on one aswell? If so, that'll probably be the cause of it.

 

Failing that, then are you using end it all?

hmm wireless will defo cause problems, are you also turning off your windows firewall also, what connection speed do you have and who is it with. could be anything here. how long is the internet cable you use etc.

as for this end it all....ive been told to stay clear that.

the specs i have are. 1gb ram (top games will struggle on 512)

6800 gtx graphics card(plays all games no problem)

2.4ghz 4000+ processor

 

of course not all folk no about pc,s but if you get a spec near that m8 itl be happy days for you.

 

How much was that if you don't mind me asking?

in all it would have cost more than a grand roughley to buy the spec complete built

it cost me just over 400 roughly

ram was 80

hdd was 45

graphics was 60 second hand (250 new)

processer was 100 (new)

asus cd drive was 40

dfi lanparty motherboard 60 second hand (160ish new)

case tower 30

i have it on disc

well im dissapointed now, theres me thinking you had the real thing aswell

That happens with XP as well. Just click OK and the game might fire up.

Finally remeberd to take my camera with me when I went to this place in Errol called, RetroSport. They basically rebuild/restore/sell old cars, mainly old Fords but there is some other things there aswell. Just thought I would post it up incase anyone was interested.
