  1. UKSOM is proud to announce the first Beta of the long awaited rFactor F2s The link can be found at our new forum http://www.amaspero.co.uk/forum/index.php
  2. I dont get to talk to most folks on here anymore, but wanted to thank everyone for voting the F1 Mod into the HOF at RFC! Congrats to all the other UKSOM members, and thanks to everyone who helped out along the way. We are the first oval mod to make it to the HOF!!!
  3. Thanks everyone, I had a great B-day!
  4. When are you guys running these?
  5. I rode the short bus to high school. Was the best 6 years of my life.
  6. Only issue with changing stuff in the files is you might not be able to race online without mismatches. I dont suggest deleting files or lines out of track docs since most are there for a reason. What type of start where you doing? Did you have a earlier version of Brad? Are you downloading it at RFC?
  7. Yet? lol I dont see that being sorted till RF2.
  8. Forgot to mention, I did adjust a few things, and added in the Figure 8.
  9. Theres your first question 2nd, I listed where the folder is on RFC (I cant access it at work) Userdata/log/hat maybe? I dunno, its still early over here in the States And thanks!
  10. UKSOM presents Hednesford Hills Raceway for RFactor. If you tested this track, please del the old track folder and the hat file. Special thanks goes out to Splinter, Wrighty, DaveW, Fourwinds, and Pedz for sending me over 200 photos and videos. Also big thanks to everyone here who tested last week. Appreciate the help... Enjoy! http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?I...sford%20Raceway
  11. Good to hear! Big thanks Ironmac, really do appreciate it. Not bad for an American Im not sure people understand how hard it is for me to put my hands around some of these tracks. Over here, our paved tracks tend to have normal dimensions, each end same size, banking the same, etc, etc. That is most tracks not all, so I have a better understanding of a basic American track. We also have this thing called banking, ever heard of it? lol Now Ive only been to Cov and Standlake and both tracks are worlds apart from anything that Ive been to. I had gobs of photos of Hendo, so it did make life easier, but without those photos, I would have been hurting. I feel this is some of my best work yet and I am pleased to hear others feel the same. So make sure you thank Splinter, Pedz, DaveW, Fourwinds, and Wrighty (I think thats everyone) for all the pics they sent me. I have over 200 photos and 10 videos of the track. Which made my life a whole lot easier!!! fellas!

    problem

Long short I think we might have sorted it. Here is what DX (directx) is. Where to find what your using, in your main RF folder, rf Config.exe and there is an option Shader Level and a drop down with Auto DX9,8,7. Best to use Dx9 if your graphics comp and graphics card is less 2-3 years old. I design everything in 9. Microsoft DirectX is a collection of application programming interfaces (APIs) for handling tasks related to multimedia, especially game programming and video, on Microsoft platforms. Originally, the names of these APIs all began with Direct, such as Direct3D, DirectDraw, DirectMusic, DirectPlay, DirectSound, and so forth. DirectX, then, was the generic term for all of these Direct-something APIs, and that term became the name of the collection. Over the intervening years, some of these APIs have been deprecated and replaced, so that this naming convention is no longer absolute. In fact, the X has caught on to the point that it has replaced Direct as the common part in the names of new DirectX technologies, including XAct, XInput, and so forth. Additionally, when Microsoft decided to develop game consoles based on DirectX, the X stuck, leading to the name Xbox (and later Xbox 360). Direct3D (the 3D graphics API within DirectX) is widely used in the development of computer games for Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Xbox, and Microsoft Xbox 360. Direct3D is also used by other software applications for visualization and graphics tasks, most notably among the engineering sector for CAD/CAM, because of its ability to quickly render high-quality 3D graphics using DirectX-compatible graphics hardware. As Direct3D is the most widely recognized API in DirectX, it is common to see the name DirectX used in place of Direct3D. The interfaces that comprise DirectX include components for use by a running application (runtime components) as well as components for use by software developers at design time (the software development kit). The runtimes were originally redistributed by computer game developers along with their games, but are now included as built-in parts of Microsoft Windows. The SDK is available as a free download. While the runtimes are proprietary, closed-source software, source code is provided for most of the SDK samples. The latest versions of Direct3D, namely, Direct3D 10 and Direct3D 9Ex, are exclusive to Windows Vista. This is because there were extensive changes in the Windows graphics architecture, and in particular the introduction of the Windows Display Driver Model. This redesign of the graphics infrastructure for Windows Vista supports virtualizing graphics hardware to multiple applications and services such as the Desktop Window Manager, in contrast to the exclusive access afforded to DirectX applications on Windows XP. Both Direct3D 9Ex and Direct3D 10 rely on the WDDM infrastructure and WDDM drivers.
  15. Just an FYI, none of these changes will affect your setups. So you still should be able to practice once its working. If it doesnt, Danskin was my main tester, blame him.
  16. LoL, for some reason Im guessing Mor uploaded or I didnt send him the right one (I say that because there is no hill_b used on the hill anymore). I fixed both issues last night, so I think there might have been a mix up. Either or, Try Dx9 and let me know if the issue is still there. When I get home, I will scan over everything and see if something is hiding in there.
  17. You have Vista and is using 7?!?!?!? lol Try Dx8 and turn circuit detail down and let me know if that helps on the Vista machine please... Edit: You beat me to it! lol This is the first track I actually took the time to adjust circuit detail. I suggest using DX9 and turning circuit detail down. By putting it on low, you cut a couple 1000 polys but the textures will still be the same. Thats what this track has taken a little longer for me, Im trying a few new things. I just got things setup on Sun or Mon, so still this test was good timing to give it a run thru before release. If you find any other issues, please feel free to post.
  18. I have XP, no idea what the deal is. I fixed that issue, and tested in 7 8 9 and it worked. I forgot I changed a texture midway, and replaced DX9 and DX8 texture but missed DX7. I replaced that last night, so the graveledge should have been gone. Im guessing I might have missed one. When I get off work, I will comb thru and if we need to upload the track again we will. Are you using DX9, 8, or 7?
  19. Ok, part of your problem I would guess is your not running 1.255. It does make a difference, there where changes from 50 to 55. If you ever wanted to run online, you need 55. http://www.rfactor.net/?page=downloads just get the patch.
  20. First what version of RF are you running? 2nd, my suggestion to you, the skins you have painted, put them in a folder outside of the game. Del the F1 veh folder, del the f1 rfm files, and del the del the f1 cch or cfm in your userdata folder (might be userdata/yourname), del all of the tracks that work with the F1 mod and start over. To get temp cars, that normally only happens online, but that means you dont the skin or you didnt create the car file correctly. Only download our stuff at RFC, and before you touch anything else, go in game, select the F1 mod, not the league version and see if you have the same problems. Also, only select rolling or standing starts for this test. Then, let us know if you are still having issues. If you need help, Im sure someone can contact u on msn or some other chat program to help out.
  21. Whats a mishmash?
  22. Sneak peek video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQTsoFD4qns Utubers isnt the best, here you can view or download the entire video... http://hosted.filefront.com/mrchrisdavies
