  1. As said by others, sorry to hear your stopping Trav, don't know if we ever saw eye to eye but we had a few laughs along the way, funny thing is I was only talking to Leek on tuesday during Bangers, I was thinking of giving tooz a go on rfactor then saw people were getting done for 'deliberate fencing', I would be banned after one meeting LOL guess that's what happens when a 'game' goes to being a 'simulation' and people start taking things too seriously :(

Maybe now is the time to return to the dark side, reinstall heat and come a play in bangers, we still know what a game is and how to have fun over there ;) well some of us anyway lmao

Get bangers on the go on rF JB and we will all come and play!

  2. As I have said to you before Budge and I said above we know we have gone to the extreme this season, and it was done for a reason and anyone who has been racing regularly this season understands why.

Nobody knows what what will happen next season, judge us in June or July when the new system has had time to bed in and people know what they can and cannot get away with.

We are not the only mod that decided something that needed to be done as this post clearly shows. Also check out the date and the date the additional F2 rules were announced not a coincidence I feel.

I do want to add that i did read the part where they were only for the remainder of the season and i look forward to what you come up with for next year.

I know you changed Admin got ridge of old gits who like the F2's and defends what F2's are bout and didn't want them turned into supers with big wings..... to get what was it.... harder against bad driving.... strict with people... blah blah blah

AND THEN YOU READ THIS..... JOKE LADS GET REAL.... pinning... oppo... followin's ... you name it and it's there... and the max ban is 2 weeks.... scared of losing drivers and having 10 car turn out.... I THINK SO !!!!!!

Well at least it's the funniest post i read in a long while thanks for that.... And i didn't have to look at a single replay

    WTF :thumbup::rofl:

    some list there

    The Grand National was brutal.

  4. Well done on the making of the track and to TomD on getting away from me twice at the crucial moment! :D

I feel sorry for admin with the replays of that GN. I know it's a narrow track and there were 24 cars, but the driving standards were horrendous, bad rejoins, follow in's, cars parking mid corner, cars going round with 3 wheels. It's gonna be a mammoth task. On the whole the driving standards were fairly good.

  5. On a serious note, i think some of the rules are fine, but as i've said before, when you go in for a hit, sometimes you have to fence someone or they will just come back you next corner so you spend the whole race tippy tapping each other and your race gets wasted. Common sense has to be used when it comes to a hit for position. I give people 1 chance, i put them wide and if they put me wide next corner, i put them in.

Would that include putting Drum or Tom In??? I doubt it.

Its that kind of statement that makes up my mind about not racing.

What gives YOU the right to "Put them in"? Maybe they just want to race you back.

As long as they don't use excessive force to fence you in return, then surely thats the makings of a "Race" between the two of you.

Or do you think that as you have passed the car in front that it has no right to hit you back, as it would be holding you up from progressing to the front??

Everybody should give everybody every chance - that way respect will be earned and the racing will be "Racing" not revenge or vindictiveness or OTT.

I must admit, I had to laugh at these new rules but it is whats needed to bring UKDirt F2's back into line. And thats sad to see. I commend the Admins for going this far to try and make it "enjoyable" for the masses once again.

My ideal races in F2, especially on shale, have been side by side racing going into the bends (Kings Lynn and Coventry especially). There is no need for bumpers, just edge up the inside and away you go.

Some of the best races to watch are drivers going wheel to wheel over several laps, but there are some who think the best races are those that have plenty of contact of which only one car comes out of it.

Bumpers are there if required, to move an opponent wide for passing to take place, not for the destruction of one car on the receiving end.

Hope it works for you Admin

Absolute rubbish Mav, seriously, you have raced me for long enough to know better than that. Obviously my point was exaggerated. If they don't use excessive force then thats fine, however i was talking more about a slow car that i have passed for position, that then punts me fencewards, not a battle with a car on the same pace.

The problem is that you guys aren't the ones spending hours going through replays every week because of drivers that can't use common sense to race. I lost track of the hours spent in the last month and its all for a hobby. Every other admin member is the same. Only then for the same people to repeat their actions. If they did then we wouldn't be here now. Simples!

I've been an F2 admin for UK Dirt, i have done it before.

  7. Small update on the above to say i have been testing the recommended settings.

I can't say i notice a massive difference, although going into the corner, if the car understeers, the steering definitely goes nowhere near as light as it did. Still dont understand the 101%.

I also testing the 250-300 degrees but that was too much for me, i am so used of 200 degrees that im gonna have to stick with it for the time being.

  8. There's a good guide on our website here as well.

Could you explain some stuff to me mate as i've been using my wheel on default (except realfeel) and don't like to change stuff unless i know what the change does.

    Overall Effects Strength – 101%

    Spring Effect 0%

    Damper Effect 0%

Centering Spring ticked but on 0%

    Report Combined Pedals UNTICKED

Degrees of Rotation is the important one, and something you can fine tune for yourself. Start off with 270 degrees to start with as per the illustration, do some laps and then increase or decrease it depending on your preference. I, for eg, use my rotation on 250 degrees whereas other members of the team tend to go up to 300 degrees. Just try different settings between 200 and 300 if you are struggling to get the response and quickness of steering you need.

    - Why up the over effects by 1%? What does this do? Why is 1% significant.

    - What does the spring effect and damper effect do? Why turn them to 0%?

    - Why tick centre spring but put to 0%, surely contradictory?

    - Degrees of rotation? I think this is right but if i up my rotation from the 200 degrees i am on, to 250 degrees, i will have to turn my wheel further round on 250 to get the same travel as on 200 degrees? 200 degrees should make the wheel more responsive? Or am i wrong? So making it 300 would make the car feel more stable?

Any explanation would be helpful, not going to change my settings without knowing what they do as i've been driving well with them on default. Cheers Grasser.

  9. Also looking forward to this meeting, being honest i didn't expect to progress as quickly through rFactor as i had, i expected the curve to be a lot steeper but i'm very happy with my progress so far.

Not a huge fan of Barford but anything can happen on WF night !

  10. We are up there! RWT Racing H7 from F2! We travelled all from Holland to Barford
