  1. [attachmentid=5466] I am very reluctantly putting this model up for sale to fund the coming Easter and Cowdenbeath weekends It is a rare 1/40 scale DIAPAT YONEZAWA Cokebottle Cedric model painted up in legendary paint scheme of Mark ' Polo ' Bouldon by Wes Wills of racetrackreplica fame. It is based on similiar car Polo raced at Smallfield in early part of 1998. If you Genuinely interested in the model, please pm me a offer, but please note this isn't a cheap model. It will be listed on ebay if it fails to raise any interest on here in the next few days. Cheers Alex Catley
  2. WTF! to be honest, you talk a load of . . . .! Big meetings is whats killed of the domestic meetings and with out them you have no real chance of increasing local driver base. You be hard push to find meetings at certain promotions now without a mickey mouse title on offer, it seems. The rise of scrap money over the years ( at points ) combined with the fact that carbed engines haven't been made on a massive scale for years is what drying up the cars that are easiest and more derisable to race. There plenty of cars that can be raced out out their just because you don't see a granny or Jag on the road everyday doesn't mean they not around or is the only thing you can race in unlimited meetings. More modern cars just invole more time to strip and build them. Just my 2 pence,
  3. best photo i could find of the back of the coupe, picture take from one of most unorganised but some how popular uk oval site http://www.ukovalracing.info/
  4. started this a week before christmas but never got round to finshing it, i doubt i will do bnow to be honest so thought i would show how far i got before i scrapped it. [attachmentid=4454] Skin is based on Frankie Whitelock Wimbledon world final car from 2005. Tried few things out like smoothing the back door out to make it look 2 door granny, which didn't exactly work as still shape of standard 4 door. Oh well was worth a try. Also recreated everthing by hand using fonts and tools in photoshope which was some what limiting, over just cropping from pics ( which i have). Signs on the Bonnet and Roof never gone done, plus few things down side.
  5. Migh pop along for me 1st visit to lake . . . . in 2006
  6. It an Austin FL1 Hire car as far as i know. Weirdest thing i seen raced is a bluebird as can't see how people rate fwd over rwd Oddest thing was swb Jag keefy raced at tadley at one of Jeff Wolford Memorials,

  11. gutted, only had chance to speak to him a handful of times but he was true gentleman, didn't ever have a bad word to say about anyone and got out smiling and laughing ever time, even after the quarter of a lap he only managed to do at cowdie this year. He will be truley missed.

  18. 2 more tracks to indentify [attachmentid=3047] [attachmentid=3048]
  19. it went to vat man no doubt, um dunno where last 1 quid went but working back it 25 quid for meal + 3 Quid they get back from manger for tom dick and harry so it comes 28 quid. 28 divided by 3 comes to something like 9 pounds and 33p each for the meal and 67p to Waitress from each person 10 quid. The quid never disappears, it just lost in your explination i guess or added to bill as 25 ain't divideable by 3 and nor is 2 quid that waitress gets, or not as clear cut.
  20. by sound of it worth forking out 24 for fully licensed up s2 version, if so just got find a credit card with 24 quid on now.
  21. Well done limbo
  22. pic from the bangers at mildo last nite
  23. all. Sadly not mick, how nice it was to.
  24. found a link off home page of rollingstart around one christmas period so i thought i have a go, at time it was on dtrsc, think fairly early stage of ukdirt dtrsc style as still were using the sprint cars, can remember winning 99 lap championship around scunny with it high banking and very tight turns n long straigts. Race dtrsc on regular basis although think i was more an annoyance to everyone than any good. Moved on to heat and can remember being 1st person to win a competive belle vue final with jok and prydie chassing me down, all finsihing with in a second. About only f1 race i have won. Raced F1 for following year or so as it was only option and then moved onto bangers when they came out and stuck to them.
