  1. Hello,

The F2 Disciplinary team is looking for a new member!

    The position will involve:

    - Watching replays disciplinary matters on a regular basis.

    - Commenting on disciplinary matters on a regular basis, with an outcome to the matter.

If you wish to apply for this role, please send me a PM on here with what you would bring to the admin team and why you would be a good addition.

UKDirt Admin members are expected to ALWAYS represent UKDirt in a positive manner across the forum, during meetings and on social media.

Your applications will be discussed among the current F2 Admin team, successful applicant(s) will then be notified.

Successful applicant(s) will have full guidance of how to deal with disciplinary matters upon joining the admin team.

    Many Thanks

    The F2 Admin Team

  2. Hello Dave and Welcome to UKDirt! I'm sure you will enjoy your time with us here.

As has been already mentioned by Harry, We race on Monday, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Each meeting starts at 8:30pm (but you will need to be in the UKDirt chat by 8:20pm). The first thing I would suggest for you to do is to read through the rules for each forumla which can all be found on the UKDirt website Here under the "League Information" tab, also I would start thinking about getting your own personal skins done for the mods you are wanting to race. You are only really allowed to use the provided novice skins for a month (there is a new sknipack every month for each mod). Once you have gotten yourself sorted with a steering wheel and computer (which I recommend using instead of a pad/joystick as you have much more feel of what the car is doing, especially if the steering wheel has force feedback) I would suggest that you do plenty of laps offline, this can give you the opportunity to not only get a feel for how the cars drive, but create a set up to your liking. As Harry said above, the best two mods to start in would be the Minis (Tuesday nights) and Saloons (Wednesday nights). The minis are the easiest to drive with most people within .1 of each other on lap times, which produces some fast and competitive racing. The saloons are the most laid back mod at UKDirt and are primarily for enjoyment and a bit of a laugh (not many of us take them that seriously). The rules are very laid back and they are generally a great mod to start racing in. However, while racing the minis and saloons, i would suggest you also practice as much as possible in the F1's and F2's. These can be tricky to drive at first (especially the F1's) and the more practice, the better you will be at your first meeting. If you have any other questions about anything, feel free to drop me a PM and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

    See you on track soon!

    Ben

  3. Well, tonight was fun. I first put Reece in the pits to say hi to Mr Starter Stumpy. I then made simmo's wheel come off his desk as I introduced him too the tyres in turns 1 and 2, I also then seemed to break sharps wheel (or so he says anyway) by showing him the tyres I previously introduced Simmo too. Roll on next week!

  4. Well done to Reece for top scoring, Wardy for winning the final and Boglehole for winning the Reach for the Stars! (And well done Stumpy on that hard fought 10th in the final!)

  5. A FEW SIMPLE RULES

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ ALL OF THIS POST BEFORE SENDING ANY FILES

1: NUMBERS - numbers must be BLACK ON WHITE the white outline MUST be big enough to make the BLACK stand out (no fancy inlay colours please)

2: SAVING - YOU MUST SAVE ALL F2 FILES IN DXT1 NOT DXT5

3: FILE NAMES - please name your car files based on these templates:

main file/veh - 16UKD800_BenT for tar and 16UKD800_BenS for shale (your name and number not mine!!)

other files - use the above but just add the grade colour to the end ie 16UKD800_BenTred or 16UKD800_BenTyellow etc

if you are unsure of veh files leave them to me as its easier for me that way

4: SENDING IN FILES - PLEASE SEND IN YOUR FILES BY SENDING THEM DIRECTLY TO ME VIA PM, OR VIA THE UPLOAD TOOL ON THE WEBSITE. DO NOT ATTACH TO THIS POST

5:RE-USING OLD SKINS - If you wish to re-use your skin from the 2015 season, let me know on this thread please and i will add them to the pack

6: ROOF GRADES - roof grades are red, blue, yellow and white, no brown, purple or green wings will be excepted!

i think you will find these are very simple rules but many seem to struggle with them, if i have to go through and fix skins to fit these rules myself i can not promise the results will be pretty - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

any questions regarding any of the above please PM me and ask BEFORE sending your skins in

DEADLINE FOR THIS PACK IS MIDNIGHT SATURDAY 30th APRIL

  6. Everytime I race a meeting a certain driver suffers, so I'm not racing at present, to give them space to do their magic on track.

Even in practice this driver practices spinning me to get me out of the way!

However it's working as they have won a final and top point scored in my absence - it cannot be a coincidence

Sympathise with you Dan, it's the one thing I don't miss with not racing - the got to get past at all costs or hey group of cars lets pile in!

It's because when you race Mav I get distracted crashing into you lol :P

  7. ONLY REAL WINNERS TONIGHT!

Any reason for that post Ben? I would be interested know where that comment came from.

Well done HGR seems you are now up to speed :appl:

It was a joke as only me and Harry won (makes a change me winning lol)nothing more.

  8. Well done to Harry for winning the final and top point scoring!
