Are the grades changing for the meeting at Wimbledon this week.

Very fast racing. Bit of longer turn around time than usual lets bring on Wimbledon.

I think we have 31 cars booked in.

My what to expect from the safe side.

In F1 Nigel Green has had great start on shale but having a few accidents like tangling with FWJ at Sheffield getting locked out the track at Stoke then breaking his steering in last bend attack on Tom Harris in the final. He showed the way round at Belle Vue at Easter followed all day by Sir King John Lund. FWJ has plagued with engine problems since Mildenhall on shale. Tom Harris if races can not be discounted as he cleaned up at Sheffield. The final star man I will mention is Dan Johnson who scored a final & national double at the Suffolk shaleway. John Wright 348 was showing good pace at Sheffield until the fence put the car in all sorts weird shapes. Rob Plant ran well at the last Belle Vue outing winning both the W&Y + heat 1. 

In the F2 you can never at Belle Vue discount the Ford family who live just a few miles from me in Deepcar  but Danny Ford is sidelined with a broken finger sustained in the GN at Stoke. Andrew Palmer won the first F2 race at Belle Vue in March. Gordon Moddie i'm yet to see on shale this year. 

Ministox as always Leah Sealy is often quick here winning the first mini race at the track in March but she has had up and down start as at Mildenhall on the 6th she promptly put it on the roof with assistance from 285 Briannie Davis & 1 Jack Witts. Credit to the Sealy team as she went on to win on the Sunday. The Evans twins showed good form taking Witts out. Witts him self having a difficult time this year as a lot of lower graders are running well such as in my opinion driver of the day at Stoke 186 Kasey Jones who also showed good form at both Mildenhall meetings. Tom Earl 77 has jumped from yellow to red in the first grading period. Can the master of the Northanpton shale 299 Harley Burns come back and put a challenge on.

Bangers well 69 Matt Randall the current Startrax gold roof seems a safe bet to win.

Unfortunately I'm unable to review the F1 & F2 as I don't have time or enough notes so I will  take notes at Belle Vue on the 6th May & Stoke on the 18th May so expect reviews from them but they will be about Stock Cars only no Bangers or Hot Rods

Well that's one Stoke done and a cracker it was.

National Ministox

27 Cars arrived on the day out of 30 booked in. A 2/3rd format used the first heat dedicated to whites and yellows 99 Ian Smith ran away at the front and was never caught 2nd was 28 Jake Wilson and 3rd went to 27 Svett Barsby coming back after a roll the day prior,

Heat two saw the higher graders join in but none were a match for yellow grade 186 Kasey Jones. The rolling start was a mess as 475 Leah Sealy was spat out of the pack by 24 Harley Thacker over at turn two this resulted in 24 receiving a black cross a getting docked two places. The race evanually saw ten cars all going for third with it coming to an end on the final bend of the race seeing 293 Elexie Bartram & 1 Jack Witts having to divert the wrong side of the tyres (the dust creating a Days of thunder style finish). 1st 186 2nd 381 3rd 361.

Heat three 299 Harley Burns came through the field almost unnoticed  and ran away as the both Evans & Witts were more content to fight among themselves. 1st 299 2nd 381 3rd 392.

Final 381 went last to first with help from his brother how took Witts out on the pit bend this resulted in a investigation which took place during the F2 final while recovering Billy Webster rolled car. Lewis , Tyrone & Chad Evans trying to defend Lewis against Jack & Courtney Witts it came out as neutral no punishment (yet). Harley Thacker was docked two places again for a second jump start of the night (when will he learn) a yellow flag came out on lap 3 after Harrison 'Careless' Veall was T boned on turn three. 1st 381 2nd 186 3rd 299.

AC Kasey Jones came home 1st again he won't be yellow for long. Lewis Evans manged to narrowly avoid a last bender from Jack Witts to round off the Minis night. 1st 186 2nd 392 3rd 1
