F1 F2 & Barnstormers

I have the F2 mod on rfactor but unlike the F1 mod I cannot set the game to the F2 series. If anyone knows if this can be fixed I would be grateful.

Although not a massive fan of this driver

What to expect.

In National Ministox there last meeting in May at venue saw 93 Ian Lewis take three wins out of four with 391 Rebecca Smith taking the Midland championship. 1 Jack Witts hasn't been the dominant force he has of recent years but showed good pace at Belle Vue on Monday after winning the Final at Kings Lynn last Saturday night.The Evans twins will as always challenge with good pace at both meetings last week.

V8 Hot Stox / Stock Cars

The V8's I've only seen once so far this year back at Belle Vue in March with Adam Joyce not racing look out for the Thompson brothers who I saw in 1300 Stock Cars at Buxton two weeks ago. 69 Matt Barnard took two wins out of at the last Stoke session. 498 Olly Spencer looked on good pace as well . Catherine Harris isn't racing but she did very well in the Sunday & Monday sessions at Skegness last week I'm guessing because Tom is racing at Northampton.

Hot Rods

Well the best non contact formula in my opinion as always ex national banger driver Joe Franklin looks good to win and was on pace back in March. What can 122 Lee Waddington do from the back?

Junior Bangers

Not a topic I touch on often but from reading about 53 Brent Trooper should run well as he cleaned up a lot at Trent Raceway last year. 90 Joey Holmes Jnr often rockets around any track and I can’t see Stoke being an exception along with 450 Blake Platts who normally runs in Stinkbridge colours. Let the rollovers commence!

The team that dominate the Incarace Bangers. Along with them the Warton team of the Bong Gang make the trip down the M6 to join us. Only other teams are Team Taxi & Team Geez as unfortunately the Real Steel team from Grimley have not entered any cars.

Well Belle Vue another Bank Holiday.

The Ministox joined us once again being a bit short on numbers be still gave the Mini race I’ve seen at Belle Vue. They graced the track first on let’s be fair a mud bath but none the less they did well in the conditions the yellows came out about half way with the spun 28 car of Josh Wilson getting hit head on by 925 Jake Wilson and 27 Luke Barsby. Harley Thackra came through to win.

Heat 2 well after a win at Northampton Eliexie Bartram bought out the yellows after stopping by the turn 2 pit gate she had being signalling for the race to stop for about 2 laps before she was noticed by the back straight marshal. 24 Harley Thackra had run away victory but was docked 2 places for jumping the start. Even Leah Sealy kept it on all fours this time to get forth.

The Final was the race of the day 1 Jack Witts must have had target on him scoring no points in the heats. The saw bumpers all the way particularly from Witts and Rebbeca Smith trading hits at any opportunity the Evans twins played a big part both of which found a gap and legged it Witts was spun out on the very last bend allowing smith to go third and another good result for Bointon in fourth.

24 DSQ Jumping the start again

Second outing at Belle Vue for F1 18 cars took the green flag in heat 1 as the race unfoled 124 Kyle  Gray ran away but but was caught in the closing laps by Craig Finnikin who went ahead to win but 3^rd was the main interest as John Lund showed a masterclass Sunday drive tactit to keep picking off cars.

Once again 18 cars for heat 2 the fast starting Neil Holcroft got away well in a new car and stayed ahead John Lund once appeared as if by magic in 2^nd and Nigel green showed some pace as the flying Tom ‘Banger racer’ Harris retired.

Yet again 18 cars for heat 3 the race had tempory stoppage early on with Will Hunter’s car deciding to prematurly give up on turn 4. On the resart Tom Harris manged to force away through with Danny Wainman for tow as Tom Harris took his first win of the night.

The final saw the remaining 24 survivors on track an early track bolckage allowed the star graders to come through Hitman Harris soon took the lead only for his half shaft to break at turn 1 causing him to limp round for a lap then pull off then subsequently load up. Newson took the lead and his first win of the season which was good to see after his health problems over the winter.

The GN saw 17 cars on track the lowest amount of F1 all day. The star graders struggled to make time mainly down to the pace the  track became very fast and well to top what was a interesting day in Manchester H880 Niels Tesslar trip from the Netherlands was worth it taking the win. Matt Newson came from the handicap for 5^th.

Although only 23 F1 Stock Cars are booked in please do not write off this meeting. Just remember this could be the last or second to last season at this venue and when there gone there gone. Stock Car racing ain't over till it's over.
