  4. A big thanks to the makers of this mod, the racing gets better all the time, and to Mor for running the 2 mini series its been great fun. WD to Drumbstick for winning the series and Kruiz for his final win. Hopefully see you all for the up and coming full season. Cheers Mr Beef
  5. Fritz I found the heat set ups far harder than rfactor. When I raced F2 I was always 1 to 3 seconds a lap slower and no matter what I did I just could not make my set ups any quicker. With rfactor I made a basic set up from drumbs guide so that I can get round the tracks without spinning and have adjusted that set up for every track I have raced on and although I will never be the quickest I am running 3 to 5 tenths slower on most tracks which is a vast improvement on heat. Yes that first set up does take some time but after that it can be adapted a lot easier for other tracks, but this is only my opinion. Give it a try you might come to enjoy it. Mr Beef
  6. Thanks for hosting them TGG Mr Beef
  7. Decision made we will have to live with it. On a personal note both start times ok but I work away a lot through the week so may miss quite a few meetings. Would have liked rfactor to stay on Sunday nights. Mr Beef
  8. Thanks for running it Mor another great meeting. Wd Grasser for final and Hutch for top scoring. I had a good night with 33 points and a heat win. Was suprised to be at back of grid for final but managed to get 10th, should have been 8th but I was greedy and had a go at kruiz for 7th but made a mess of it See you all next week. Mr Beef
  9. Hi I have 2 hard drives on my pc. My main drive "c" is a sata drive and is fine. I have a 2nd drive "d" which is an IDE drive, this should run at DMA mode 5, but keeps dropping to PIO mode. I use this drive as a storage drive and when I go to convert an AVI file to DVD or extract rar files, when it has dropped to PIO mode the programs i use run really slow this is how I know it has dropped into PIO mode. When this happens I have to uninstall the device and reboot which returns it to DMA mode 5. What I would like to know if someone can help, is why it drops to PIO mode and can anything be done to prevent this from happening. Mr Beef
  10. When I started this topic it was by no means to start a rfactor v heat war. I personally can't drive the heat cars, but I love the rfactor mod, I would like to think the heat boys will have a go and come to like rfactor in time. The more that race the better. I have had my question answered with several different points of view. To sum up, if you are a lap downed car trying to pass someone who has lapped you do it with caution. It all depends who the driver is as to whether you are taken to task if you make a mess of it. If someone is trying to lap you, again depends who the driver is, either let them through or risk a date with the armco. Mr Beef
  11. Hi I had a few missed laps on Bradford Tar tonight but was on GRC server with 2 other cars so warp shouldn't be an issue. I noticed that in the split times I was running 5. 333 / 2.333 / 5.333 for example On the missed laps this showed up as 5.333 / 2.333 / 18.333 for example. Hope this helps Mr Beef
  12. Hi Before I start I am in no way complaining, moaning or spitting out the dummy. In one of my heats last night I was leading by a considerable margin and ended up passing a couple of back markers, however on the last bend of the last lap I was trying to get past another when I was caught by someone who I had lapped, and ended up on the infield. By the time I had recovered I crossed the line in 6th place. After much swearing and cursing at the monitor I had a look at the replay and put it down to a pure racing accident, FILTERED happens. In the final I started from the third row from the back and managed to get into 8th place when I was involved in an accident and once again ended up on the infield. By the time I had got off the sleepers I was in last place and had been lapped by a few drivers. I managed to claw my way up to 16th and ended up behind a driver who had lapped me and I was lapping at a similar speed. Here's the dilema. Do I sit behind him and wait for him to make a mistake, or do I try move him with my bumper risking spinning him and ruining his race and maybe get a complaint against me, bearing in mind I dont know if he is first or tenth Please feel free to comment and maybe admin would like to clarify the rules on this situation. Mr Beef
  13. Thanks for running Mor I think it went really well. WD Aub for final and hutch for top scoring. The format and racing was great tonight and think it should be kept for rest of series. I had a good night with 25 points but should have been more See you all next week. Mr Beef
