European Championship & Semi-Final Grids & Updated with World Final Grid
DanSkin replied to DanSkin's topic in F1 (rFactor)
Just a reminder folks! Semi Final 2 Skegness 07 August 2014 This Thursday takes us to Skegness for the second of our World Championship Semi-Final races. DanSkin #236 was the second top scorer from the qualifying rounds and so sits on the pole position at Skegness. DanSkin is experiencing a relative slump of form, having to wind back the clocks almost a full year to Hednesford last August to find his last final win. Completing the front row is Dutch contender Chevykiller #184, the 2013 Irish Champion also has to look to 2013 (and that Nutts Corner meeting) to find his last final win. Fellow Dutchman Harmen #262 will be backing up Chevykiller - starting directly behind him on the outside of row 2, while the lone Scotsman on the grid Dode #151 will start on the outside of row 3. Inside of row 2 we find the qualifying round final winner from Ipsiwch, Liam Powell #380 currently tops the 2014 Tarmac Masters points series and he will look to convert that tarmac form into a good result this Thursday. The only other driver to take a tarmac qualifying round win on the grid is Dave #488, starting way back on row 8 he has some work to do. Pinken #43 and Mitch #356 have already ruled themselves out of the race, and RickyJames #237 is currently banned - so there is potential for at least 3 reserve drivers to make the grid. Back on row 8 the Mildenhall final winner, Montangoo #89 was one of 3 drivers to qualify for Semi-Finals with just 2 qualifying round appearances (along with Dave #488 and teamtickle #73). Towards the back of the grid are quite a few infrequent racers, the highlight of which seems to be Grasser #233. The 2006 National Points Champion, more recently known for his streaming exploits, will undoubtedly be one to watch starting from the outside of row 10. -
Well done to TomD #112 for winning the Semi-Final and all other qualifiers. Well done to Ben Chambers #80 for winning the meeting final, and TomD #112 for top scoring (including Semi-Final points). European Championship & Semi-Final Grids & Updated with World Final Grid
DanSkin replied to DanSkin's topic in F1 (rFactor)
Just a reminder folks! Semi Final 1 Stoke 31 July 2014 This Thursday takes us to Stoke for the first of our World Championship Semi-Final races. TomD #112 again top scored this year in the qualifying points, and again selected the shale venue, starting from the pole position. However in contrast to a relative 'slump' in form last year, TomD is very much the man to beat this year with a blistering 7 A-Finals to his name already and a 360 point lead in the national points! TomD is joined on the front row by the current F2 points leader, and 2014 F1 Irish Champion Kane_M #238. Kane_M came home 9th in the tarmac Semi-Final last year, undoubtedly the Stoxkart racer will be looking to improve on that performance this year en-route to another shot at becoming the youngest UKDirt world Champion. Kane_M's brother stoxjack #249 can be found back on row 4 alongside Stox #246. A-Final wins have eluded both drivers this season, however stoxjack has a respectable 5 heat wins to show for this troubles, while Stox has a single heat and grand national win to his name. Both drivers have faired better on the tarmac so far this season, so perhaps would of preferred the other Semi-Final. In a curious quirk of fate, all of the shale qualifying round A-Final winners this year find themselves scheduled to take to the track on Thursday night. Back in March teamtickle #73 took the Belle Vue A-Final and will be starting inside row 10, while two weeks later Tsjalle #229 took the Stoke A-Final - surely a big confidence boost ahead of starting up front on the outside of row 2... a threat to TomD? Real life F2 racer CrashleyEngland #146 took the April Coventry A-Final and starts inside of row 5. TomD cleaned up the remaining shale qualifier A-Finals at Kings Lynn and Scunthorpe. Samwit #254 took the A-Final at the last qualifying round at Cowdenbeath to line up on the inside of row 6, alongside UKDirt veteran Mav #525. Another yellow top to look out for will be Pieter G #165, coming home 11th in his Semi-Final last season he will be looking to improve and take a qualifying position from the outside of row of 5! -

Brilliant video Wardieee! I certainly see one big winningest hit in there! Thanks for the kind words. Was an exciting race, some early excitement popping wheelies down the straights with Dode, an unlucky moment for TomD and an awesome race to the finish with Josh.

We're starting to move towards the more serious end of the season, and so we can announce qualifiers and grids for both the European Championship, and World Championship Semi-Finals. European Championship: For the 2014 season the European Championship will be contested over a single meeting only, dropping the usual last chance qualification opportunity at the previous meeting. The top 22 available (booked) drivers in the National Points will qualify. The grid is closed grades with highest National Points at the rear. The European Championship is a 22 car race, 25 laps, run before the meeting. The 2014 European Champion is entitled to the red and yellow chequered roof until the 2015 European Championship. Defending champion DanSkin #236 will be joined on the grid by previous holders of the title Dode #151 and LeeK #39. TomD #112 has the misfortune of being a European Championship second place finisher specialist, and having never clinched this title he will undoubtedly be looking to improve this year! Keeping the European aspect truly relevant, we have 5 of the 22 qualifiers from the Netherlands, and they will be looking to join the roll of honour alongside Marten #291 and JK #116 as European Champions. World Championship Semi-Finals: TomD #112 comfortably top scored in the World Championship Qualifying Points and has chosen the Stoke World Championship Semi-Final. TomD #112 contested all of the qualifying rounds and also took the single highest meeting score of 66 points, at the other end of the spectrum was Dave #488 attending just 1 meeting but taking the second highest single meeting score of 59 points on his way to taking the meeting final at Buxton in May. Final winners from the qualifying rounds include TomD #112 (x4), teamtickle #73, Tsjalle #229, CrashleyEngland #146, Dave #488, Liam Powell #380, Samwit #254. The two Semi-Finals grid up as follows... UKDirt F1 Skinpack 5 On behalf of Fast Track. Quite a few folks still in novice cars after this pack. This needs to be sorted as soon as possible please, I will start another skinpack thread shortly. I don't want to reach a point where we are refusing bookings because of too many novice cars. If you can't prepare your own, please check out the Skin Painting forum.
