  7. Results now confirmed! Poster will be up tomorrow once I've done it!
  8. Congratulations to Jack Ward who took the 1nz to a World 240 and New Zealand Champs double tonight. This was the closest 240 we've ever done with the top 5 within 5 points of each other! Well done to everyone involved, certainly tense stuff in the 3rd race. In the main meeting, I managed to pick up a Final and Survivor double with the top scorer also going to myself. Next week is the Season Finale at Gisbourne, finishing with the Champ of Champs race. More details on that will be up in the week so I hope to see you all for a great finish to a great Winter Series here at UKDirt. 11. I think we've been pretty fair and clear, in trying to explain how things are here etc. Unfortunately, you either don't read or accept what's been told. : Ministox won't be running due to falling numbers despite numerous efforts both on here and on our successfull FB page with over 1500 members. : Same thing with Autograss despite best efforts in the same way as Mini's : This is a contact stock car league which is catered towards stock car fans. This is made quite clear on the website, on here and on FB and I would hope you were aware of that before joining. : Our winter leagues, which are free to enter, have been very successful so far with full meetings for NZ's and our new Wreckfest Bangers league which is showing a lot of promise and interest. Members vote with their feet and this clearly shows the direction of the league. As Counter has said, I don't think you will enjoy it here as we don't cater for your type of racing which is a shame as I did offer you to have a a go at one of our winter leagues to see what it's like. I'm sure you'll find something more to your racing preference elsewhere if that is what you choose. Many thanks Grasser233
  12. If the problem is the number, then what number do you want? If anyone has an issue with a number, then all they have to do is PM admin and we'll look into it to see if it can be freed up.
  13. Clare, Firstly welcome to UKDirt. Ministox just do not pull numbers in worthy of racing them hence why they are being pulled for this season. They will probably return in the winter at some point. This disappoints me from a personal level as I put a lot of time into that mod and am quite proud of it but numbers say that they are not popular due to being low powered and FWD. It is what it is. I don't see where the lazy thing is coming from, and I actually take offence at that statement. I work very hard promoting the NZ League I am currently running and I actually think it's been a big success so far this winter with good numbers at every meeting and fun to be had by the majority. The hard work by all the team, from meeting running to the upkeep of the website, forum and successful FB page is constant and should be recognised by all the league including yourself. This is a contact stock car league and it's member base for over 10 years has proven that fact. It always will be. We ran autograss for a period and it didn't pull numbers in. No problem, we just move on to something else and in Autograss's case, we moved to Saloons on a weekly basis with a degree of success. I suggest you book in for a NZ Superstock or Banger meeting if you have Wreckfest and see what it's all about. You never know, you might like it! Regards Grasser233 (Autograss Class 1 Mini driver)
  14. Bookings are now open for the 2018 World 240 Invitational @ Rotarua! Unfortunately, due to ping and server distances, we cannot accept bookings from New Zealand based drivers. Apologies. It is open to the first 24 in the National Points, the reigning champion if they book in and the top 2 reserves from 24th onwards. 16. Congratulations to the Rotarua Rebels on winning the Teams Championships this evening beating the Tigers in a close final on the last lap. 18. Welcome to the 2018 Teams Championships! This year’s Teams Championships looks to be hotly contested this Thursday. All the teams look on paper to be strong and for this year, we have 6 teams compared to last year’s 4 teams. This makes qualifying for the semi-finals very difficult and it looks like we are in for some epic clashes in the heats. Going through the team line ups, we start with the favourites, The Rotarua Rebels. Comprised of the usual Netherlands based line up of Marten, Mike, Tsjalle and Frans, they will start the meeting as our reigning champions. All have won races with Frans excelling in the NZ Champs by earning 2nz and this group tends to race as a team during regular meetings so are well practiced for this sort of event. They will be very difficult to beat, especially in the later stages of the meeting. Surprise finalists last year and runners up, were the Wanganui Warriors with regular drivers Grasser, LeeK, and Toff being joined by banger front runner Dode. This team consists of the top 3 in the National Points with Grasser and LeeK both winning finals this season and Toff being the main front runner in the NZ Championships so the consistency is there. Some added helpings of carnage from Dode could propel the self-anointed “Team Fun” to the top step! The Warriors beat one of the mainstays of team racing in NZ’s last year, The Nelson Tigers. The usual 3 of Kane, DanSkin and TomD are joined by the new 1nz for this year in Wardy. On paper, this is arguably the “Super” team of year. Kane hasn’t done all the meetings but has won a final, a survivor and multiple heats already, Dan made his return last week, leading the final convincingly for the majority while TomD has been a one car wrecking machine in every meeting and featuring on many a poster with his outrageous hitting. Add Fake Wardy’s speed into this and we could be looking at new champions here! Another strong driver line up is in the new roster for the Palmerston North Panthers. Crashley has been one of the most improved drivers in the league this season, winning a final early on. CB in the legendary 0r machine has been specializing in the Survivor races winning 2 so far while Wardieee has only done a handful of meetings but looked quick in the races he finished. They are joined by Lloydy who has not raced so far but is our reigning World 240 Champion and knows how to race these cars. A strong line up, and one that should take them to the semis. We have two new teams for this year. The Kihikihi Kings are made up of some of the mainstays of the league and has been put together by Dane Bell who is joined by Barker, Bryan Lee and Hoggy, who has yet to race this year, joining the team. Barker and Bryan have certainly been amongst the hardest hitting drivers this year and this is potentially a strong combination if they can work as a team. Finally we have the Baypark Busters who is comprised of some of our newest members led by HGR who I’m not sure knows what’s going on in races at times but will certainly have a team ethic for this one. He is joined by Tom Davison who has raced regularly this season with HGR and Charlie Boast who has raced once this season and went on the crash quite effectively in that meeting. They are joined by Downforce UK’s finest in Jake Sanson. Jake raced the opening meeting and did pretty well considering it was his first meeting in anything in UKDirt and this is the hardest league to start in. Can Jake adapt to team racing in the same way? An interesting line-up, Can they spring a surprise? So that’s the runners and riders, we shall see tomorrow who comes out as the champions! MEETING INFO Some info first, We'll be running from one server this evening. Bookings are now closed so it'll be reserves for exisiting teams only from henceforth Firstly, your in-game name must be in the following format: WarriorsGrasser, RebelsMarten, TigersDanSkin etc. You may use any chassis in that team that is available. Discord will have specific channels for your team, please use them. Meeting format is that every team will race each other once in the heats. Top 4 in each heat will score points. The 5 lap rule and start line rule does not apply for this meeting. Heat Points 1st: 10 2nd: 5 3rd: 3 4th: 1 RACE FORMAT Race 1: Kings vs Tigers Race 2: Rebels vs Warriors Race 3: Busters vs Panthers Race 4: Rebels vs Kings Race 5: Tigers vs Warriors Race 6: Kings vs Panthers Race 7: Tigers vs Busters Break + Points Update Race 8: Panthers vs Rebels Race 9: Warriors vs Busters Race 10: Panthers vs Tigers Race 11: Kings vs Busters Race 12: Rebels vs Tigers Race 13: Warriors vs Panthers Race 14: Busters vs Rebels Race 15: Warriors vs Kings Once all the heats are done, the top 4 teams will go through to the Semi Finals.
