I recently was issued a parking ticket for parking on some yellow lines that were NOT painted by Rochdale Council but were painted by the company that the lines were outside of. I challenged the fine but was told these lines were enforcable and told to pay up. I know for a fact that these lines were painted by the company themselves because I work there. Surely these cannot be legal and if anything is an act of vandalism. The lines are not even painted correctly as there is no T bar panted at the ends. Is there any way I could get access to a map of where Rochdale council have painted Double Yellow lines or is there anything else I could do? Thanks.
