just wandering where i can find the ssc rfactor to download ? tried the uksom forum and the option isnt available to download ??

Just installed R Factor and while putting in the saloon mod and skin pack i get a pace car as the vehicle on the game menu screen. Any ideas what ive done wrong?

i have done the same with the hotrod mod and the only vehicle i have is a pace car ???? i looked in the game data folder and the hotrod cars are there, any ideas how to fix this ???

sorry for my dumbness here lol but ive just downloaded a few tracks for rfactor, cowdie, baarlo etc, they have downloaded as rar files ????? have they downloaded wrong as they dont appear as the other tracks downloaded ??

no, they're fine m8. Download and install Winrar if you don't have it already and open the file as you've downloaded it. Extract the contents to desktop and install. If it's a track folder then move this to c:/program files/rFactor/gamedata/locations, if it's an exe then run the exe and it'll install the track to the correct location

Well you could save the .tga before you convert it so that its backed up, or save it as a .psd so you can alter layers. So that when you have a new roof grade or whatever you can just change the layer

thanks for the reply courty !! that is what i normally do when i paint my own skins, i was wandering if it could be done with the cars that came with the original heat downloads ??

is there a file/program available where u can acess your existing cars on heat and alter them, like a tex to tga file ? reason being, for example.. chris burgoyne rl f2, can i alter his gold roof and change it to red instead of having to paint an entirely new skin ??

nice to see the creators of brisca heat havnt forgot the bread and butter side of things and just left and gone off and done their own things (rfactor).

the brisca heat designed for everyone and all classes seems to be dissapearing with new models/chassis being developed for better things.

so what happens to the average person who loves the origional heat games ? if u cant upgrade to rfactor... screw you !! ???

think we should have a track from NI. weve had every other brisca aff. country represented (scotland, england, holland etc..) why not NI ???? nutts corner would be a cracker, ballymena would be good too !

well if your using photoshop u merge all the body layers together then press ctrl + u and it should come up with the hue/saturation menu then just mess about with hue till u get the colours you want. if u need any help just pm me

guys, is there anything i can do to stop all the cars i race against offline from just wiping themselves out ??

if i race at arena essex for eg, i start at the back and within a lap or 2 im at the front as all the cars are lined up against the wall and dont move !!

Nascar heat and windows vista do not mix apparently.

 

You need to download nascar heat essentials via the ukdirt website which in effect replaces the disc (as i understand it).

 

From memory it's the slidey menu thingy then guides.......installation.....then nascar heat essentials.
