Anybody know who is in charge of admin at sim-stox please?.My account lies dormant & despite my best efforts to re-register during the past week on the forums ive had no luck.Ideally id like to join in the sunday night winter series the next meeting of which is tomorrow night, but without being able to access the forum i cant get involved. Any help greatly appreciated as my withdrawal symptoms are starting to grip! Thanks, Matty 300

Im not 100% sure but I think there was a problem with 1 version of buxton which was fixed and then re uploaded. Have you tried downloading the installer again from Sim-Stox and running that? Apologies if you have mate. Cheers Dazza Cheers Dazza, thats nailed the problem, weirdly i only had three options for launching Buxton, buxton fog, buxton hot rods & buxton figure of 8. After installing the sim-stox download i have four, now includes a straightforward "buxton" in track list!! Just wish id realised that there was a problem with the rFactor central install & then had some racing tonite. Thanks anyway Dazza.

At buxton tonight I could practice fine offline with the track loading ok, however whenever i joined the server to play online the track loading screen came up fine, i got into the pre-race lobby bit & it kept booting me back to the spinner, stating "track mismatch". Ive tried everything i can think of, including reboots, reinstalls of the buxton track in gamedata/locations, do you think replacing the terrain tdf.file may work as the rfactor central site suggests this? Any advice appreciated, thanks, Matty

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but is Thursdays WF on Ippo Shale or tar? Cant recall doing a meet on dirt, & having never been to Ippo in real life is it shale or tar next Saturday?, cheers.

A bit of a weird one this but id appreciate any help to sort it. During last nights f1 heats Corny 391 appeared in my game as an orange Porsche 911. Now im not one to moan but it did give him an advantage as he had a co-driver On a serious note how do i resolve this? Ive downloaded & reinstalled all the skinpacks & the 1.1 patch, i know i havent missed any out. I got booted from 2 heats last night due to "cant race against an unknown vehicle" & "vehicle collision mismatch", how i made the euro final i'll never know as i spent more time trying to get back into server (cheers johno for letting me join heat 6). Id like to get this issue sorted before the WF semi at Skeggy as being booted isnt the best race preparation when you are sat on the grid. Whats next?, Magnum P.I. in a red Ferrari lining up next to me? Any help gratefully considered.

Just to clear this one up Mav, ive watched the replay of heat 2 & "hit" one was a gentle tap in which you barely moved & managed to steer round the bend unhindered, certainly nothing that you wouldnt see countless times in every race, & the second hit was actually on jimmy 259 & it was his car that collided with you. Rfactor is very competitive but fair, & these were genuine attempts to gain places, not red mist coming down pile -ins. Lets not go down the whinging route as thats what ruined Heat for me, by all means make constructive criticism, but please dont state i spoiled a heat because that clearly wasnt the case.

Although Im not applying to join the admin team Id like to put on record my gratitude to MoR for his assistance during my time competing in Heat & rFactor. Being a complete novice with downloading mods, winzipping & patching etc.etc. ive picked his brains on many an occasion (to the point of being a pest if im honest) & he's always sorted any problems ive had promptly & courteously.I for one hope he continues to compete in rFactor, for both his hard & fair racing & superb paint jobs, & wish him well in his new job.

An unmitigated disaster for me after being in dreamland after the 'vue last thursday thinking id finally got rFactor cracked lol. Managed a mightily impressive 3 laps in heat 1 before a tussle with Big Al & suspension failure, missed the grid in Heat 2 dithering over a set up & got booted (collision mismatch) on the restart. Got tangled in the whites & yellows melee in the final, & despite really looking forward to the GN under the lights (which is always good imo) I sat & watched the many restarts come & go only to be discoed just before getting underway! I suppose moral of this tale is dont think everythings cosy & your PC is fine & that its others who are having all the rotten luck with this mod. I never had a single problem at belle vue in terms of being booted or warp etc.etc., & then Ippo comes round & I have a nightmare for a variety of reasons. Despite all this the mod is dangerously addictive & i'll be lining up at Bradford praying my luck is in lol. (P.S. can anyone guess why Dub's skin is the grey temp car in my game, ive downloaded & reinstalled all skinpacks to no avail (thanks Danskin for suggestion), it says unknown instead of Tarmac OL under class? Thanks)
