  1. Not sure but this part of the error message might want looking at, perhaps Pedz might know if I'm on the right track .... 57.08.046: ddraw: created directdraw with nv4_disp.dll (NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X) Sure I had one of those graphics cards in the past, bit dated now and think it should run in AGP4X, sometimes problems can arise when using AGP8X, well that's what I found in the past. If you're still having problems it might be worth selecting AGP4x in the bios options.
  2. No expert on this in the least, but you seem to be using the F1 Mod and using an 'R' track, not used by F1, they go the other way around lol. Then trying to use the ArenaEssexR.gar setup. Try using just the tracks suitable for F1's listed on the site, non of those being 'R' tracks and see if you still get any error logs.
  3. It wont, ie this thread. If you have a Program Files (x86) folder, try putting it in there instead of the Program Files folder. But remember any skinpack, tracks, files and any patches etc will have a default of the Program Files destination so you'll have to make sure they go in the right one by altering their destination as well. Worked for me anyway.
  4. Pedz, can you remember somebody having the same problem with parts of the cars missing during play? I'm sure I've seen it on here and wondered what the solution was. Could it be a graphics card problem? I know you're pretty clued up when it comes to graphics cards etc. Not sure Woka, but do you mean this thread?See last post That's the one Welly, thanks. Not sure if it can help Freejohn with his problem but it is a very similar fault. Perhaps it is just newer graphics card drivers he needs.

  6. Have you tried downloading the latest drivers for your graphics card? It's the only thing I can think of. I'm sure this problem has cropped up before, did a search but had no luck.
  7. It may have nothing to do with it but just a slightly similar experience/problem I had with the game... I could run the game fine and all cars could be seen etc, but when I went to Options/Controls the page was unreadable, rolling graphics and I was unable to alter the settings at all as I couldn't see them. I eventually found that the image settings were set to high on the computer (not the game). I had an option of using a manual setting of high quality which I set to maximum, changing this option to 'Let the 3D application decide' fixed the problem. Just wondered if this was a similar problem, probably not but easily checked.
  8. I have just started using Vista with Service Pack 1, had a little trouble installing Nascar Heat with the original disc so used the Nascar Heat Essentials instead. With a bit of messing about I got it to work and raced the Banger mod last night without any problems. Still a few slight glitches with options/controls and saving setups but I'm sure I'll get it sorted in the end. I've had a few problems with certain programs not running when transferred from another hard drive but to be honest I expected that. Not sure if this is because it's Vista or Service Pack 1 as I had all the updates before loading any of the other software.
  9. Very nice model and also a very nice skin, getting to the point where the model/skin is probably better looking than the real thing. Well done lads.
  10. You'll probably need a form script similar to one herre... http://www.scriptarchive.com/ There should be instructions on there on how to use it.
  11. If you have usb ports on front and back, it maybe that some are 2.0 and some are 1.1. Assuming you are using windows xp, if you have all the latest updates then one of the updates searches your PC for usb ports and offers a driver update if they are 2.0 compatible. Worth a try using a different usb port and/or searching for a driver update. Take a look here... http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/n...02august05.mspx
  12. Not familiar with external hard drives but it might be worth transferring one of the video files back to the main hard drive and see if it's still jumpy then. If it's ok then at least you know the video files are being saved ok. If that's the case then it seems it might be a speed issue perhaps? Not being able to transfer the info quick enough from the external hard drive to the video viewing software on the main hard drive perhaps.
  13. Maybe as mentioned this is just a graphics card heatsink/fan problem? Strange that the Graphics card fan goes off when you start rFactor! If anything you would think the fan would speed up if it was getting too warm. The graphics card itself sounds very suspect to me from what you have said. Good luck with it.
  14. Good luck with it Kruiz, I'd take Scrapman's advice before the hard drive gives up altogether. That way you might be able to retrieve a lot of stuff off (what seems like) a dying hard drive. I'd even think about getting 2 hard drives, binning the ailing hard drive once you've transferred all you need from it. That way you should have a sound backup of your stuff should one of the new hard drives finally pack in. If you're not sure about how to go about adding a 2nd hard drive etc, there's lot's of help online, just did a quick search and this might help should you go the route of getting a new hard drive and making it the master etc. http://computer.howstuffworks.com/adding-a-hard-drive1.htm
  15. This might be the problem? Thankyou i painted the cortinaE and that is how i wrote it in the drivers text so dont no what wrong there Not sure if you've sorted the problem out yet but if not try putting your driver.txt as below. I had a look at my 2 litre folder and it's a MK 3 tina you have in there. table Driver number 827 name Pants827 chassis CortinaMK3 rank 1 race_image 100 body_style ccar end that's without any wheel name. I noticed on another topic you're also having trouble with your car manager, what I've done in the past to get by is, go in to your 'Under 2 Litre' folder (if that's the skinpack you want to use), select all, then copy (NOT CUT), go back one, in to your 'ukdirtbangers' folder and paste the contents. It's always worked for me.
  16. Same problem for the last 4 or 5 days, sometimes it would work and then i'd be unable to access it for 12 hours or more. I'm on BT Broadband but I could access the forum using dial up. I have informed Kev as I thought it was only me having the problem and it seemed like IP blocking of some sort.
  17. Sorry Allstar, well done so far with the Jag estate.
  18. That's pretty sad. They only make sixty-seven examples of one car, and some sap needs to destroy one in a silly Banger Race. Obviously not a Banger fan! You get presented with a car that cost £30, delivered as well. Would probably need thousands throwing at it to get it anything like for the road. Most think it's butt ugly, Civil War is just about to break out at Hednesford, so what does Woka do? No he doesn't put it on Ebay, he races it. Good on Woka, the memory of that car winning the DD will remain in my mind forever.
  19. I think Nick's idea of a 2nd hard drive is a good one, at least you'll be able to try to retrieve anything off the old hard drive before trying to fix it. Plus you would then have a backup drive for the future. It is possible to have an operating system on both hard drives should one fail to operate in the future.
  20. Yes you can use rearview in Swingman by altering the username.plr in the UserData folder. Do a search for swingman and you'll see the options there. Keep a copy of the original file just in case you mess up.
  21. Hoping to join in at sometime or other, so if you could add my skins as well please. Just hope I've done it right. Cheers. 312_Shale_Cars.zip 312_Tar_Cars.zip
  22. I did post this earlier in the topic but think you may have missed as you posted straight after me, worth checking I think. Not sure if it's part of the problem but the default directory for Nascar Heat downloads is... C:\Program Files\Hasbro Interactive\NASCAR Heat I noticed on your error log the directory shows... C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\UK Dirt\Hasbro Interactive\NASCAR Heat If this is your problem you either need to use the default directory for Nascar Heat or alter any downloads to use the same directory you're currently using.

  24. So which server, tracks and chassis do you lot use? I'd like to have a play sometime.
