try the link to an idiouts guide in my sig, it was created for paintshop pro 9 but maybe of some help.

if its text you want outlining, the best way is to have the outline colour and the inside colour selected when you add the text. but using the line tool to go round the edge usually works then just merge it to the layer you want or allternatively use the drop shadow with opacity at 100 and blur at 0 and add it to each corner (4 shadows and merge it together)

eg, vertical 2 horizontal -2 (bottom left corner)

then vertical 2 horzontal 2 (bottom right corner)

then vertiacal -2 horizontal 2 (top right corner)

and vertical -2 horizontal -2 (top left corner)

this way you have shadow with a sharp edge all round the text/image.

dont want the pics, got too much to atempt to finish here. bit i think it would be a good idea to make the saloon version aswell.

heres a mk2 i painted for UKMR's unlimited at mildo. put it in a garage and added some airbrusshed shadows (comments please)

follow nick ms guide theres a list of what everything should be named as there.

have you named the parts of your model correctly in 3dmax? and alos once you have the pacecar file, you need winres tools to create a .car file which should work in game whan you put the physics in with it.

modeling is only half of the job getting it in game i find much hard.

get some square on pics for modellers if you get chance. it wont be me having ago though (not got any in game yet ...) just the pics might come in handy for some one.

ive managed to do this using the eraser and freehand selection tool.

im also going to start an "idiots guide..." on more detailed signs. once ive done this skin which is for bws bombers all jags (and daimlers) meeting

try resizing the template to get less blurry and pixellated signs like the read waste mag one.

how did you do the numbers on the back arches? ive been tryingto get mine to look similar to that for ages

im assuming its for tap and spin etc like rokies or banger rods. its preped like a banger so expect it to be something of the sort.

certainly an improvement, but the "bobbert" on the volvos passenger side looks a bit blured try resizing the template and experimenting. aldo make two or three layers with the same sign (just different colours) anduse the eraser to rub the top layer or layers out and you will get a multicoloured sign.

But it would just look like a bonnet with an engine pasted onto the top of it
