ive never built one myself but from what ive been told the 2 main things are welding plates on the back axle other wise you will end up with rear wheel steering or the axle fall off completely and if you use the original straight 6 engine lift it up and back otherwise you will bust the sump.

hi guys. ive been having a few shandys tonight and ive just had an idea. now before i go on my computer knowledge is very basic at best so this is why im asking for opinions. now how i see the banger car manager is a program that basically copies the files from the folder you select and then pastes them into your ukdirtbanger folder. is it possible to make a similar program to do a similar task, for instance: be able to have several variations of the same chassis name and be able to select between the different types, ie- different number fins, how the wings are folded etc. would make it more like real life. have several different engine sound recordings so you can swap between them for different cars. plus many others, the possibilities are endless. as i say for all i know it might be possible and not too difficult or virtually impossible or maybe even just too confusing to have so many different files. either way i wanted to gauge opinion and input from people who posess the real knowledge as to whether its possible as it could make things even more life-like than what they are already. cheers, damo.

i had the same problem, same error message and it was exactly what nick and hazy said. i now race offline with 24 cars or less and have never had any problems since. cheers, damo.

One meeting and you would crash it 1st meeting never seen me drive Ryan? i used to race karts although i know minis are alot more handling but having the fun of ya bum nearlly touching the floor cannot be bad. Soo ye shhh walker jokes where and what class did you race in. i used to race at kimbolton and fulbeck in 250 national. and a stock car is nothing like anything you have ever driven before. i had a go in my m8s 1300 stox and it was totally different to a normal car. like driving a tank lol. I used to race nearlly every where. Fulbeck would have been my home track did u go to Fulbeck PFI or the Fulbeck Army Site? I raced the JnrMax Class not pf international, next door. lkrc. i havnt raced for 5 years tho. i passed my arks test in year 2000 and held it for 3 years. my brothers did super 4, one of which raced for jade karts in the junior g/box class in stars of tomorrow. bet you havnt been on a vehicle as fast since have you. 250's are epic. cheers, damo.

i had mine made by another banger driver. the bears make good equipment. type in 'ar welding' in your browser and send them an email. failing that an easy solution is to use the blade off of a loading shovel bucket. it is plently thick enough and already has holes drilled in it. cheers, damo.

sherlock? That 2.3 auto did'nt half sound and look like the original v8, especially when it came burberling down the straight with no gears getting pushed, tbh it really did'nt sound much like a ford 2.3!! Simon's would of been road legal because a few years back a bloke raced a 33ft lincoln limo at cracker and it was all original and was the late lincoln shape! And it got blitzed! george told me he had put a 2.3 auto in it as it was the only v6 he had. also that big limo i think was tony green no.117 of the headhunters. now that was huge. also george made that cut and shut job because the other donor limo was rotten as a pear in the middle section so he thought it would look unusual to weld another back half on the end.

that 610 was home made. i sold him the yank estate his old boy raced. wasnt a very good job you could spin the back wheels round on the 2nd car lmao. and it had a 2.3 v6 auto in as well. ps- i raced my nova gt rod at skeg for the first time yesterday and got a 2nd in heat 1 and won heat 2 by half a lap. get in!!!!

ive been over to slicks again this weekend. he has just had his kings lynn pre-70 motor signed. its a 1930's rover p2. no-one has raced one for 25 years and to top it off he has another one in his yard. also many banger drivers also run or restore classic cars themselves. slick has a p4 on the road for instance. the bloke who commentates at firecracker summed it up one year. he said 'and now its time for the classic car anti-show to begin.'

all i can say is when i looked at the semi-final fixtures i saw the english flag but no scottish one. 2nd place is better than 5th=.
