Just read, with sadness, that George Macmillan Senior has unfortunately succumbed to his cancer. I remember seeing him at the odd race in the North East in the late 80s, wondering at first if it was an old school friend of mine (it wasn't). Are we going to have any plans for honouring him in weeks to come?

I need help. I put my back out on Wednesday, and been semi bed bound until today. I have a very basic rce_319.psd in the colours I want, but no sponsors (not bothered for this month) and no numbers. I've just tried to do a similar randall template in these colours, but it looks wrong. I know it's short notice, but could someone put the numbers on the rce car and upload before the deadline? I'm not worried about the shale car as I'm crap on shale and will miss any shale we have this month. Andy rce_319.zip

Completely agree about the rejoins, i was guilty of a bad rejoin myself, it would have been fine had i not done a complete 360 rather than a 180 and faced the wrong way....again. For such a tight track thats very slidy, i thought the carnage was kept to a minimum. Very sorry for my rejoins. With all the problems I had tonight, I guess I just should have cancelled this meeting (if I'd had a connection to let you know) Andy

Ok, just for a bit of a laugh, and after the F2 chat the other night, let's see who's the oldest racing on here. I have no shame saying I'm 47 y.o., and happy to remember the heady days of going to now extinct tracks of Newton Aycliffe (thanks to free lifts from friend's grandad as I was a very poor student at college) and Hartlepool (lived there, climbed onto museum wall opposite turn 1 to see my first race) in the 80s. I can remember the original Smith/Wainman battles with John Toulson calmly (well occasionally) plodding on behind. I followed/helped a young lad just starting in F2 called Neil Anderson 791 at the time, and looking at some of the historic F1 and F2 sites online brings back many happy memories of the racing. Now thinking of introducing my 6yo son to F2s at Barford as that is the closest (and let's face it only track in the North East), but money is still tight as I am a carer for my wife. Anyway, I'm babbling. Am I the oldest here? Big Andy

Hi all. I'm trying to get the novice skins sorted so I can race next Monday. Do I take (I want to use an RCE) the dds and veh file from C:\Program Files (x86)\rFactor\GameData\Vehicles\F2Stockcar\Skins Folder\F2TarmacOL\Novice (Tarmac) and copy them to C:\Program Files (x86)\rFactor\GameData\Vehicles\F2Stockcar\Skins Folder\RCE and then rename them with my number and edit the veh file to my details as per the skin painting page? I also understand I'll need my own skins for the new month's packs when asked. Also tried to follow this on Sunday night (http://www.ukdirt.co.uk//ukdirt/F1/rfsetup.php) to try to sort cars, but I think it was written for the other prog as I can't mirror the initial settings (and the car is worse than ever). Could someone give something better to work on with rFactor to try and improve things. Big ask, but I need Help!! Thanks Andy

What Southy said. If you can hit 16.6 to 16.9 on Monday you will do fine. 16.2 and 16.3 will be the fastest guys i reckon. Concentrate on staying consistent. OH GREAT. only getting the odd 18s without spins. Been doing too much forza 3 me thinks ;( Sorry, CAPS going crazy

I'm on a Sidewinder FF wheel (wife's carer so money not great). Haven't practised at Skeggy yet. When practising, do I set difficulty to Veteran? Did practice on novice settings, and got 15.8s laps, Barford I couldn't get running properly, Crimond (because I was up there last month) I kept spinning on Veteran. I also seem to be getting some very bad artifacts on rFactor despite keeping my graphics driver up-to-date. If you PM counter on here he will activate your account as soon as he sees it. Don't worry about lap times to much, be consistant and safe and then you can progress from there. Cheers. My big problem at the moment is blood great artifacts that mean I can't see the track. Might try removing drivers and starting from scratch

Southy, apart from the skin packs, is there any other prep I need to do before racing tonight

I have a logon, but in the top right hand box it states my account status as denied, and there are no membership options when logged in. As it is, my bank had a dicky fit this afternoon and refused to allow the payment from Paypal to go through, but there is an amount of £15.71 missing from my account now. I'll wait until Monday to see if things filter through properly, then I'll try again. Money sent through Paypal at (approx.) 09:10am. Will this allow me to race in F2 tonight?
