  1. Great job on the Matt Newson skin Danny
  2. Excellent video Jack, loved the commentary and the post-race interviews - a huge amount of effort has obviously gone into this! Thanks, Craig
  3. Congratulations Dan, well deserved, and also well done Tom for taking it so close to nearly claim it for a 4th consecutive year.
  4. Great work mate! I've only been once myself (the infamous fogged-off F1 meeting!), but it is as I remembered (for the race or two I could actually see!) and it'll certainly be a great unique addition to the rFactor tracks. Great job on the elevations MoR
  5. Well done Dan on taking the World Final - certainly well deserved. I thought the meeting was smoothly ran I was a little disapointed myself after the world final, as I was in 3rd with 1 to go and was spun out (not Kane's fault though - my car was horribly loose after the early laps so I left the rear wheel exposed and around I went. Doh!). The race wasn't too bad once it settled down a bit though. The rest of the meeting was a mixed bag for me - it's the same old frustrations for me in this mod at the moment and most of it's already been touched upon in this thread and my usual grumblings elsewhere. I think that's me done with the F1s for the time being, but I'm sure a bit of time away will help rekindle some of the old enthusiasm, but for now, I'll settle for resisting taking Tom out in the Autograss MoR
  6. Great preview Dan
  7. After enjoying last Wed so much, I figured I should do a proper skin because I know I'll get some use out of it now! Enjoyed painting this, something different from the F1s and the alpha channel can be used for some great subtle effects
  8. Hi all, With the 2012 World Final less than a week away, I thought I'd help you get in the mood for it by reposting the video I made for the UKDirt F1 World Final 2010! I also thought it'll be good for those that weren't around 2 seasons ago to see what I consider to be one of the best, if not the best UKDirt F1 World Finals there has been. The opening laps were absolutely crazy, with so many cars gunning for the lead! LeeK put in a notable great performance, and the last bend battle finished the whole thing off nicely! To give you a brief background on the event, TomD was taken out of the semi final by a backmarker so had to qualify from the consi semi and started the race from the back of the grid. I think Skegness will be an excellent track for the 2012 World Final, so let's hope the race can live up to this one! Cheers MoR PS - I'm not sure on the shakey cam thing now, but it does give a nice spectator feel to things I guess (and makes a change from the default replay cameras!) lol!

  15. Thanks guys. Thanks for the meeting admin and well done Dan with the top scoring. Really enjoyed the first meeting around the new track and it certainly lived up to expectations - there were many hectics moments and it certain had a hint of nostalgia about it because I don't think we've had a meeting like it since the heat days. The track is always going to be a bit of a marmite proposition, but I'd take Yarmouth, Mildenhall and next weeks Knockhill meeting any day over yet another meeting around your carbon-copy NIR, Birmingham and Coventry tracks. Was really chuffed with the heat win, and the last few laps in the lead were utterly terrifying, esspecially when lapping people. Martyn hit the fence on the back straight of the last lap of that heat that gave me a real fright. Very exciting stuff. Had a rough 2nd and 3rd heat catching a few pile ups but great fun nonetheless. The final was absolute carnage with dead cars everywhere. I had a very mediocre first half of the race, getting pushed back down the order a few times, but it'll seemed to kick off about half way through, and after making it through a few pile ups, everything came together great. Well happy with that - as I mentioned in chat, final wins are extremely rare for me (a mere 5 in 10 seasons in F1s!) and to do it at a track I put a lot of work into, extra special See you next week, MoR
  16. Thanks for the great comments guys, much appreciated
  17. MoR137 red please :-) Thanks MoR
  18. Hello, It's been nearly two years in the making but I've finally finished my new track, Yarmouth Stadium. I've always wanted to make a post and wire track for rFactor; I personally miss the challenge of heat meetings at Stoke/Nelson/Nitten which, whilst not attracting so many drivers, were always great fun, with the survival aspect throwing up lots of surprise results. rFactor post and wire tracks never quite had the same feeling due to the inconsistency of the posts - but after experimenting with lots of different ideas, I think I've cracked it! The posts are deadly! I suspect the meetings will have a fair bit of carnage and people will need to drive with a lot of respect, but I think it will be great to offer a different challenge 1 or 2 times a season. I hope you like it - I'm really looking forward to next weeks meeting! >>> DOWNLOAD YARMOUTH V1.0 <<< Special thanks to Drumbstick for the AIW, and Danskin, Grasser, Tom and Drumb for their help testing. Thanks, MoR
  19. Thanks for the meeting Dan, fantastic racing and a huge format done in record time! Came into the meeting pretty open minded, not really expecting to perform well enough to get the hattrick but hoping that I could at least put up some form of a title defence. The heats had some great racing, with the highlights being my first win of year (thanks to Spike's all-or-nothing last bender on Samwit) and managing to get Tom over the fence in heat 4 as revenge for one of his deadly hits putting me and Southy out of contention earlier in the race. I'm sure it'll be repaid... Was really chuffed getting front red for the UK Open and was hoping the seas would part first bend ala 2010, but it was quite a clean start which made for a hard race! After working through the pack, I slowly gained on Green and Harmen for most the race, but the pair were driving a very sensible race (much to my disappointment!) meaning I couldn't get close enough, although Harmen's last bend meant I closed to a tantalisingly close 0.5 seconds at the end. Disappointed not to get the win after being so close, but dead chuffed with the meeting as a whole and can definitely say I had a good shot at defending it! Well done to Harmen, UK Open Champion 2012. People can say what they like about him being undergraded and what not, but from where I was he drove a fantastic race, very patient and more importantly, striking on the last bend when it counted! Well done mate!
  20. I think you should.....
  21. Thanks for the kind comments guys! As promised, here's another screenshot
  22. No worries Mav, glad you're sorted
  23. Hi Mav, I can't really advise on your current issue, but if you do find you're in need of a gfx card, I still have one for sale, see here: http://www.ukdirtforum.com/index.php?showtopic=36602 Now £40 or make me an offer This card is far more than you need for rfactor - i'd still be using it now, but I got a new pc last year with an even better card in there. It's worth noting the quoted dimensions and space required because it is huge (and dell cases are well-known for being less than accommodating for upgrades). Let me know and good luck Thanks, Craig
  24. Thanks guys, glad you like the look off it.
  25. MoR 137 red please Thanks, MoR
