  1. Ok, but they really should've been sent to me or the upload tool. I've managed to contact Corny and unfortunately he doesn't have them. I will be making the skinpack at 10pm tonight - by this time you'll have had 28 hours extra past the deadline to get them to me, which is a lot more than I would usually ever give. If you do miss out, I'm afraid you will be starting being the Superstars until the next skinpack at the end of the grading period. Please send the skins directly to me via PM.
  2. Nope nothing has come through I'm afraid - can you send them via PM please to ensure they make it? Thanks Si - your skins uploaded fine and have been added. MoR
  3. Thursday 21st July 2011 sees the first of the two 2011 World Championship Semi Finals take place at Skegness Stadium. After 12 hard-fought qualifying rounds, the 40 semi finalists have been decided, with MoR #137 topping the chart after a season-long battle with TomD #1, with the world qualifying points battle going down the the last two laps of the final WQR race. For the full 2011 World Championship Semi Final grids go to THIS THREAD. The Skegness semi final is likely to be a chaotic affair, especially if you look at previous closed-grid races here, such as the 2010 UK Open and the fantastic 2010 British Championship, with the back straight pile ups claiming many of the top drivers and shaking up the standings considerably. --- ROW 1 --- MoR#137 After a huge battle against the defending World Champion, MoR came out on top and earned the write to choose his Semi Final venue. Not surprisingly he choose Skegness, which is where he won his first major championship (UK Open 2010). MoR has maintained a very healthy average this year and has thus become one of the biggest names in the league. MoR should definitely finish in the top 3 but I expect he will be looking to win the race and book a front row ticket for the big race in September. DanSkin#236 Currently topping the race winners chart and 2nd in the points, DanSkin is having his most successful year since his 2004 F1 World Championship season. With 4 Final wins already to his name this year, Dan really got himself noticed this year with a confident British Championship win and two championship 2nd places in the Scottish and European finals. Dan has to be one of the favourites to take a row 1 grid slot at this years World Final. --- ROW 2 --- Mike#315 It's been a troubled year for Mike - early in the season he found himself surrounded by controversy which has cast a shadow over his season so far. Nonetheless, Mike qualified in a strong position for this years semis. A former British and UK Open champion, Mike is no stranger to winning big races, and his confident semi final 2nd place in 2010 will mean he goes into this race as one of the favourites to claim a top World Final grid slot. Southy#277 Southy joined UKDirt F1 late in 2010, and instantly gained a good reputation for fair, consistent driving. A consistent year and a sudden burst of F1 enthusiasm in recent weeks secured Southy a fantastic second row grid slot for this semi. If he can keep himself out of trouble in what is likely to be a chaotic race, Southy could put himself in a solid World Final grid slot for Septembers big race. --- ROW 3 --- Harmen#262 Harmen is one of UKDirt F1s most controversial characters, with his hard-hitting style often attracting a lot of negative attention. This often impacts on his results, but has shown in the past that if he keeps his cool in a race, he can keep up with the top drivers and bag some good results. If Harmen uses his head more than he uses his bumper, he will qualify well for the World Final. Aub#188 A boost of UKDirtF1 enthusiasm at the beginning of the 2011 season saw Aub rocket to Superstar grade and 2 grand final wins. Aubs grid slot means he will be in the thick of the action at the start of the race, but don't be surprised to see him challenging for the top 3 places as the race progresses. --- ROW 4 --- Spike#211 One of UKDirt F1s hardest triers, Spike has bagged himself a respectable row 4 inside grid slot for this semi final. After a few seasons of struggles, Spike has really got to grips with the mod this year, now sitting extremely comfortably in the blue grade and getting some great results. Known for his tough bumper work, Spike will likely liven up the first few laps of the semi, but will his trademark bumper antics land him in a good WF grid slot or just in the thick of the semi final carnage?! Skeet#31 One of UKDirts veterans, Skeet made a return to the league in 2010. A former F2 World Champion, Skeet has proven he can still mix it with the best with a respectable semi final grid slot and an impressive 32 point average over the 4 2011 meetings he has raced. Expect a top 10 finish from him. --- ROW 5 --- DaveyBoy#380 After a couple of seasons absence (apart from the odd appearance), Davey has made a full season return this year. Quickly getting to grips with the mod, Davey is now a comfortable blue grade and has one 2011 grand final win. His hard but fair driving style works well for him, so he should finish easily in the top 10. Travel#365 Another of UKDirts veterans, Travels season has been broken up by a lengthy ban after a run in with Harmen. Making a quiet return for the European championship double header, Trav is more than capable of picking up a good WF grid slot and should be an entertaining watch during the first few laps of the race. --- ROW 6 --- Green#115 Real life F2 driver green has really made a name for himself in UKDirt F1 so far, having won one grand final. Already asserting himself as a hard-hitter and a fast-lapper, he will be one to watch in this race. Likely to finish in the top 10, Green's NIR form could worry a few of the top drivers. Murf#561 Despite no 2011 appearances, Murf's performance in the two qualifiers held last season see him sitting in a respectable row 6 grid slot. Should he race, the 2010 semi final winner could be a real threat to the front runners, and his previous success winning the gold roof on SimStox means he's no stranger to winning big races. --- ROW 7 --- Dazza#290 The 2009 UKDirtF1 World Champion and 2010 UKDirtF1 British Champion, Dazza has made only 1 2011 appearance, picking up a great 37 points in the process. His ability to win big in UKDirt F1s is proven, and his British Championship win at Skegness last year will make him a favourite to come from the back.... should he race. Bully JNR#84 Starting off in the winter series, Bully has picked up 3 race wins this year and has shown he is well in control. Bully is a very consistent driver, and seems settled in the yellow grade. He is starting quite well back in the semi, but if he keeps out of trouble, he could get himself one of the last few top 10 places. --- ROW 8 --- Mav JNR#285 Starting next to his Dad, JNR has come on leaps and bounds from last year and holds a consistent yellow grade. In the W+Y race at NIR a couple of weeks ago, he showed he's not afraid to bury his Dad should the race call for it, so perhaps he be looking to prove he is the top 'Mav' in his household in this Thursdays semi final. A top 10 finish may be a stretch for JNR, but who knows, he could surprise us! Mav#525 Next to his son, Mav SNR has already graciously declared that JNR will be using the superior equipment for the semi final, so he may well struggle. Mav can drive very consistently, so if he keeps out of trouble, a top 10 could be possible, but would he pull over for his son if they were sitting 10th and 11th? Be glad you're not Mrs. Mav this Thursday...... --- ROW 9 --- Hooty#256 A former UKDirt Bangers World Champion, Hooty is no stranger to winning big races, but has it all to do from near the back of the grid. Very consistent in F1s, Hooty may well pick up the pieces should the race be as chaotic as predicted. A top 10 is surely within his reach. Lew#495 Lew snuck onto the semi grid with a respectable 17 point single appearance at the final WQR. He will likely struggle from his grid position, but he could be a lively watch in the opening few laps. --- ROW 10 --- Walker#363 Walker hasn't raced yet in 2011, but his 2010 performance sneaks him onto the back row of the world final. Very consistent, Walker is capable of getting a good world final grid slot, but he has got a tough job from the back of the grid, and lack of experience in the F1s this year could mean it takes him a while to settle back into the flow. Si#231 Si made a confident F1 debut at the European Championship double header, and took well to the F1s despite only having tried them out a few hours before in practice. As he gains more experience, Si could be a real threat, but it will be a big ask for him to come right from the back to gain a WF grid slot. So there you go, the 20 semi finalists doing battle at Skegness on Thursday! Get yourselves booked in for what is surely to be a great race, and a great meeting! 4. Yep, those have been added, thanks mate.
  5. Thanks for confirming that LeeK. Craig - just got your shale skin, thanks mate!
  6. Thanks Craig. Unfortunately, all I got was the tarmac ones. It looks as if the site's upload tool renames all zip files to carXXX.zip (XXX being your registered number), so uploading two separate zip files means the second one will overwrite the first one. This explains what happened to Davey too. Can you re-upload your shale skin for me please Craig? Also, for anybody using the upload tool, please bundle all skins in one zip. Thanks, MoR
  7. No, the only I found on the upload tool was the tarmac one.
  8. Hello, The 4th grading period for the UKDirt F1 2011 season ended at the European Championship last week (07/07) so it's time for a new skinpack. The new grades will be announced shortly. Existing Drivers If you wish to change chassis or paintjob, this is your chance to do it, but please do so in accordance to the skin rules on the UKDirt website. New Drivers Welcome! Driver's racing their first UKDirtF1 meetings are invited to upload skins if they wish, but there plenty of variations to choose from if you want to use a novice skin (see the 'skins' tab when selecting your car in rFactor). For new skins: You need to upload a shale car and a tarmac car. On each car, you need to paint skins with all 4 grade colours: white, yellow, blue and red. Zip up the files in a ZIP file and upload them via the Skin Upload Facility in the members section of the UKDirt website. If you have any issues, you can attach them to a post on this thread or PM them to me. If you drive in another formula and this is your F1 debut, or you have raced at other online racing leagues (e.g. Simstox), please get in touch with me so I can pass the info onto the admin team. Any questions, just ask and I'll try to get back to you ASAP. IMPORTANT - DRIVERS USING NOVICE SKINS In recent weeks, there's been a high number of novice skins out on track - it's great to see lots of new drivers out there, but those who raced a novice skin last grading period should look to get skins uploaded into this pack. Driver's who miss multiple opportunities to upload skins will be penalised and will start behind the superstars. Below is a rough list of driver's who used novice skins since the last full skinpack - those marked as * will be starting from behind the s/s if skins are not received. 115 green * 560 dodge * 126 Leech 231 Si 185 Pickworth 249 Stoxjack 122 craigcharles DEADLINE FOR SKINS: 10:00PM WEDNESDAY 20TH JULY 2011. 10. Hi all, It's about that time of year where people start to think about chassis changes to cars they feel suit them better, whether it be in general, for their semi final or for the world final itself, so I thought it would be worth posting the planned skinpack dates so you can plan around that. Skinpack 6 (Euro) This one is exclusive for Dode, who won the European Championship on Thursday evening. Releasing before next weeks meeting at Sheffield. Skinpack 7 It was the end of the grading period on Thursday, so new gradings will be released soon. This also means a skinpack is due for the dates shown below. Note: this skinpack is released just before first semi final at Skegness. Anybody wishing to submit skins/chassis changes for either semi needs to do in this pack! I will post when i start collecting for pack, but here is the deadline and release dates so you can plan ahead: Deadline: Tuesday 19th July 2011 [6pm] Release meeting: Thursday 21st July 2011 [skegness: Semi Final 1] Skinpack 8 This will be your opportunity to submit skins after the next grading period finishes and more importantly, ready for the World Final! End of Grading Period: Thursday 18th August 2011 [Hednesford] Deadline: to be decided nearer the time. Usually the Tues before the release meeting Release meeting: Thursday 1st September 2011 [bradford Tarmac, 2 weeks before WF] I hope this helps you visualise when skins need to be ready for specific events. If you are changing chassis or skin, make sure you do so with the rules in mind to ensure I don't have to turn them down. Thanks, MoR

  12. THERE IS A SKINPACK OUT THAT YOU NEED FOR TONIGHT! Don't say I didn't tell you lol
  13. Can I get an extremely late provisional booking please? I'm not very well today, but I'd like to race, but if I feel bad in practice I may cancel before the meeting or drop out midway. Is that ok?

  15. Skin list updated with all submissions so far.
  16. The first deadline has now passed and we didn't receive much in the way of skins this month.... ...therefore, I'm now releasing the skinpack one week later, just before the Knockhill meeting on the 23rd. This means the new deadline is Tuesday 21st June 2011, at 6pm. This will allow necessary skins to reach the pack(e.g. DanSkins British skins, as he's been on holiday) and avoid having to release two small packs in quick succession. If you have been using novice skins, please use this extension to get some skins together for this pack. Note that any submissions made between today and Saturday won't be dealt with until I get back from my holiday, so don't worry if your name doesn't appear on the list until next weekend. Thanks, MoR
  17. Not sure if you saw my apology after the race Mav, but I was pushing extremely hard with Davey close behind. Looking at the replay, I don't think you really left any room, and I made a slight adjustment going into the bend thinking you were going to spin (which I was already pretty paranoid about after the final!) and unfortunately my extra speed cumulated in you spinning. Certainly wasn't intentional. Thanks to Johno for the meeting - ran really smooth with some great racing. Well done to James on the massive points haul, 3 wins and great GN result.
  18. Hello, The 3rd grading period for the UKDirt F1 2011 season ended at the British Championship last Thursday (02/06) so it's time for a new skinpack. 21. Hi Blymn, Glad to hear you'll be joining us That's correct, dds and zipped up. As for naming, take a look at the files in 'C:\Program Files\rFactor\GameData\Vehicles\F1Stockcar\TarmacOL\UKDirt (Tarmac)' already on your pc, and try to work it around those based on whichever chassis you are painting for each surface. If your unsure, don't worry, i can just rename them Thanks, MoR
