Badura_Racing258
Just interested to see what sort of quality (high or low...) everyone seems to be running. Ideally, just an opportunity to see who will have to upgrade for Rfactor when it does come....but also to see how powerful some machines are. AMD Athlon 64 3800+ 2.41 GHz, 1.00 GB of Ram 140 GB Hard Drive Geforce 7300 GT Windows XP 450PSU That's mine. Pretty average. Cost? £330 minus the hard drive. Guest Scrapman53
Mines is an ongoing project, so can't really put a price on it. Around October I got a Motherboard, Processor and 2nd hand graphics card for £220 that would've set me back probably £400 6 months earlier. AMD Athlon64 3700 (San Diego core) 2gb OCZ platinum DDR400 RAM dual channel kit DFI infinity SLi motherboard 80gb ata Hard drive with a 160gb for backup Nvidia GeForce 7800gt graphics card Soundblaster Audigy Platinum soundcard Cambridge Megaworks 550 THX 5.1 speakers. (They sound like a nightclub system, lol) Enermax Noisetaker 600w power supply If anyone is thinking of a cheap upgrade, then the processor, motherboard and graphics card I got don't cost that much now, but they're a bit thin on the ground as the AM2 socket is taking over. or even a 7950gt graphics card can be had new for 150ish and you can run RFactor at 1024x768 or even 1280x1024 with nearly everything turned up to max. PS. What do you mean "when RFactor does come?" It's been here for months, lol. GET IT NOW!!!!!!!!!! Edited January 23, 2007 by Scrapman53

erik
I've got a laptop of the following spec: Dell Inspiron MXC061 Intel®Core2 CPU 1.83 GHz 0.99GB RAM as for graphics card...its one produced by Dell, can't remember the exact name of it. It can be a bugger as some games, eg. Flatout 2 don't work with it, but luckily both Heat and rFactor do.

Guest Scrapman53
I tried BF2 at 1600x1200 but prefer it at 1024x768 Hutch. I found it a bit harder to see the enemy at the higher resolution. Us amateur soldiers need all the help they can get, lol.
