Pedz 212 Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 oh pooooo 16 April to 19 June 3 September to 27 November Major work is being carried out to inspect the bridge’s main cables and a contraflow will be in operation on Saturdays and Sundays from 02.30 to 16.00. Expect delays in both directions during the above dates. On a limited number of weekends, the restrictions will be continuous from Friday 19.00 to Sunday 16.00.

Ham 775 Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 I'd definatly head for the kincardine br if your coming from the west. Don't be deceived by the map. It's no longer than the forth road bridge which is hit and miss at the moment but i heard tales of 2 hr queues last weekend. Turn 3 steps are indeed a good place to watch but if your on the 2nd landing up right hand side as you climb them when i get there then it's your funeral. Only kidding. Hope to put some new names to faces
Badura_Racing258 Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 Is it worth going? All the 'top' guys coming up from the South? Scotland doesn't have any decent banger drivers...or decent drivers atall! Who's all coming up? I'd be happy enough to walk round to get slapped about and slagged as per usual?! Cheers, Hack

Cheers, Hack 14038[/snapback] [color=OrangeRed I have noticed on Mr Starters website that he has posted that the roadworks on the Forth Road Bridge this weekend are cancelled, yes cancelled. Traffic in that case should not be as bad as first thought.
