Mav Posted October 25, 2011 Report Share Posted October 25, 2011 Spun in every race (except the final), but fought back to a top ten finish - Really chuffed with that. Led the final for 10 yards but always seem to do well when someone who is undergraded races or just chooses the meetings/tracks they are good at to race!!! But just having thought of missing out of a final win, I then realised if I had of won I would have been upgraded to red Anyway well done Gary, even after spinning you got it together to carry on and win. In the GN I was really pleased to have stayed ahead of TomD for several laps - Felt good Watching the replays: Jack #249 - Not your fault in that heat m8, I took to the inside and the kerb caused my spin, you didn't touch my car. Simon #31 - Really sorry you spun in the final, I pushed hard but then backed out of it when you started to spin, I then thought you were just going to pull away but you whipped the other way and around you went. southy277 Posted October 25, 2011 Report Share Posted October 25, 2011 WD Gary. I had a bad start to the meeting spinning twice early in Heat 1 but managed a 10th. Heat 2 win followed by a disaster final - sorry to the reds that i spun infront of, just couldn't get out of the way in time. The GN (shootout) win was a surprise. Was just looking for a strong finish but ended up leading and thought Mike would of caught me. Chuffed with the shootout lead although its 50/50 whether or not I can race next week due to moving so someone else will probably take the lead. Simon31 Posted October 25, 2011 Report Share Posted October 25, 2011 Well done Gary on the final win, it was only a matter of time before it happend as you was to fast for the yellow roof! to me you was always a fast blue! not a bad night for me, heats went well with a 4th and a 2nd, bit dissapointed in the the final really as the blues were having some fair racing and very close and i passed everyone clean, for Mav to spin me out of 2nd place when we was both well away lol, apology accetped Mav, but i hope you take it on the chin like i have when i get my revenge lol, GN was similar with Tosh taking me out from 6th i think, which put a bit of a spoiler on my night but happy with the 16 points anyway! cya next week at hendo! big al 515 Posted October 25, 2011 Report Share Posted October 25, 2011 My first F2 outing of the season, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 3 top drivers sent me their setups, one as soon as I logged in, which was mega of them, shows what a great bunch you are. I would probably have been tooo off the pace to enjoy things much otherwise but with a very stable setup and on a forgiving track, I was able to have an absolute ball. Really enjoyed battling with the other yellows especially Douglas who seemed similar pace to me. Also Mav, Trav, too many to mention really. I am usually giving lifts on a Monday night, but will definitely try not to leave it as long before reappearing.
