Cracking racing tonight, well done to Evnos - another white top scoring 30+ points means another upgrade to yellow!

And of course well done to Tom for the final and points, excellent race through the pack in the final to the win.

Despite having been somewhat wary prior to this evening's event, I can gladly report that I left it with an undoubted positive feeling. I had not raced Wimbledon since I think mid 2010, am I right in thinking the track has been modified since then? Certainly upon installing it tonight it seemed a lot more open in terms of space, bends not quite so tight as they used to be and so on. After, in the pre-meeting server, 250+ laps of acclimatisation, setup-experimentation, as well as a taster of my possible surge towards the position of Poet Laureate upon its re-assigning in 2019, onto the meeting itself.

Well done to Mav for securing the Whites and Yellows championship first up. I managed to score in all of my races which I cannot be too disappointed with, even though perhaps Heat 2 was an opportunity missed in terms of not winning it - Evnos no wonder you were so eager to retake the lead from me if it was for your first ever win, I didn't realise that, so well done again! :appl: Racing in the vast majority of cases seemed respectful, a bit of bumper here and there but I didn't personally witness/suffer any OTT stuff, let's hope we continue in that vein. Hectic early laps in the Final, a late exchange with Mav who fought back for 6th place (and it paid off), well done to Tom for taking the win in the main race of the night and top scoring. Dan not far behind in the points-scoring stakes as has come to be expected, remarkable consistency of performance.

Thanks Fasttrack for RM'ing, enjoyed the night, thanks to those stewarding also.

Cheers,

Corny

well done all of u what scored points 2nite. I do nearly every meeting and to be honest I'm just getting the feeling why do i bother racing f1's anymore because ever since I got 33 points from hednesford meeting and ever since i moved straight to yellow at kings Lynn meeting, its been a complete waste of time me racing and up to now from yellow ive done 10 meetings and I've only scored 14 points and the weird thing is I got more points on shale than Tarmac. 7 at sexbierum, 3 at Coventry,1 at kings lynn and on Tarmac just 3 points at Bradford.

last eleven meetings

wimbledon 0 points, mildenhall 0 points, skeggy w/f 0 points, scunny 0 points, Bradford 0 points, lelystad 0 points, sexbierum 7 points, Coventry 3, Birmingham 0 points, kings Lynn 1 points and hednesford 33 points when I was a white top.

Thanks Corny

My aim was to secure back to back wins in the W&Y series and several weeks ago it didnt seem likely that I would.

But with Matty going up to blue, Ricky not finishing last week, me finishing 3rd last week, all gave me a shot at the title.

BUT last week Spike won and that still gave him an outside chance of winning, only if he won Wimbledon and I failed to finish in top 10.

This was a possibility as post/wire and tyres can break cars, i was concerned, even moreso when ELEVEN W&Y's turned up for the last round!!

Finish 11th, Spike wins and Ricky would also then finish ahead of me, the title would be gone.

I should have had the faith like others had in me, as on lap one Spike and Ricky went out together which meant I just had to finish, but Craig tried to repay an F2 UK Stockcars debt and it nearly worked

After surviving that I just circulated, trying to avoid the tyres (350 laps in the 2 hours practice was worth it!!) and came home 2nd - Claiming the title for the second time

As for the meeting, the heats were disasterous. I would apologise to Jack, but what he did afterwards to me wasn't necessary and negated my apology.

Final and GN however changed my fortunes but just when I thought a Final win was possible, I looked in my mirror and there was TomD and DanSkin bearing down on me!!!!

I did think about having a go back, but with too many laps left I thought better of it. Pleased to have finished 6th having re-passed Corny with a lap to go. Apologies that you got put out by someone after that Corny.

GN again I thought - last race and I could go out with a win! but NO! lol It wasn't to be and I was left hanging on for 9th.

I should have finished my meeting races last week as I won the GN, then just raced the W&Y last night and gone out of UK Dirt undefeated!!!

Was a good meeting all be it one race spoiling it for me! This is one of the best tracks for f1s in my opinion! Thanks for fasttrack etc for the meeting

Think one of the problems ricky is you seem to just hit drivers abit too hard to the point they just take you out next time they come across you!

Also well done to mav!

I didn't expect a great meeting as thought pc might struggle plus I would find it hard on a tight track I don't think I've raced before, but I was wrong. The pc was fine and so was the racing. Getting two top 10's in the heats and then 10th in the Final, from yellow, is good going for me.

Keep at it Ricky, if I can score a few points from yellow, so can you. I do go for you quite often, partly because you are one of the few drivers who is nearly as slwo as me, but like Dode says, if you don't hit others so hard, after a while they will stop fencing you back.

Top meeting running by FT and the stewards, well done all for another enjoyable meeting. :appl:

Oh, and well done Mav!
