NielsR Posted July 25, 2013 Report Posted July 25, 2013 I can confirm : I can not compete in my semi final . Really gutted but still a chance in the consolation semi
Kane238 Posted July 25, 2013 Report Posted July 25, 2013 I can confirm : I can not compete in my semi final . Really gutted but still a chance in the consolation semi You can only go in Consolation Semi if you race the Semi Final but not finish in top 10?
NielsR Posted July 25, 2013 Report Posted July 25, 2013 I can confirm : I can not compete in my semi final . Really gutted but still a chance in the consolation semi You can only go in Consolation Semi if you race the Semi Final but not finish in top 10? Nope, this is what they said last year: Qualifiers from last chance race held before the World Final, positions first to fourth. World Championship Consolation-Semi-Final eligable drivers (in order): Group 1 (drivers who raced a Semi-Final and failed to qualify): 3 122 92 525 300 517 504 65 221 172 129 262 233 254 237 516 255 33 365 Group 2 (drivers who did not race a Semi-Final): 292 380 341 285 520 290 515 131 21 150 164 90 16 31 419 550 495 450 124 126 518 8 29 87 456 Race info: 16 laps, up to 20 cars, top 4 through to World Final, groups line up closed grades, gridded inside grades on wqr points & two grade gaps between each group.
RobertL Posted July 28, 2013 Report Posted July 28, 2013 I can confirm that I will NOT be racing my semi final. Good luck all! Tin
Matty300 Posted July 30, 2013 Report Posted July 30, 2013 I can confirm : I can not compete in my semi final . Really gutted but still a chance in the consolation semi You can only go in Consolation Semi if you race the Semi Final but not finish in top 10? Is this the case? Confusion on actual ruling
DanSkin Posted July 31, 2013 Author Report Posted July 31, 2013 Chevykiller has found the correct configuration for the consolation semi final grid. Qualifiers from last chance race held before the World Final, positions first to fourth.
Matty300 Posted July 31, 2013 Report Posted July 31, 2013 (edited) Thanks for the confirmation Dan / Chevy, in that case i WONT be able to take my place in the Buxton semi and hope that the Kings Lynn tyres cause a consolation semi pile up or two Edited July 31, 2013 by Matty300
DanSkin Posted July 31, 2013 Author Report Posted July 31, 2013 Just a reminder that this comes up tomorrow folks! Semi Final 1 Sheffield 1 August 2013 This Thursday takes us to Sheffield for the first of our World Championship Semi-Final races. TomD #112 selected the Owlerton track, and will start from the pole position. Without a final to his name this season, TomD still comfortably tops the National Points chart and will be focused on qualifying well. MoR #137 will start from the outside of the front row and has had some consistent performances on the shale this season. Johno #3 skilfully (blind luck) manoeuvred himself to his preferred position on the inside of row 2, and is joined by, Mr UKDirt, LeeK #39 on his outside. A perilous looking front few rows are capped by the arrival of the Dutch on row 3. Despite missing a number of rounds Mike #315 has qualified well in his quest to recapture the gold roof… He is joined by Sije #129 and Harmen #262. Retired (?) racer Southy #277would line up on the outside of row 5, but it looks like Spike #221 may feel the benefit of starting with a bit of clear air infront. To the inside of Southy would be Corny #391, who has recently been absent - who knows if he will take up his place. Tinman #48 will round out the Dutch entrants, while it comes as a surprised to see Fast Track #527 starting all the way back on row 8 in front of renowned troublemaker Rickyljames #237! Giving the race a real international aspect, FreeW #67 represents the USA having qualified from a strong single round raced at the end of 2012.
DanSkin Posted August 2, 2013 Author Report Posted August 2, 2013 Initial post updated to show results, non-starters and reserves which have been used. If you're in next weeks semi final please don't late book for the meeting!
southy277 Posted August 2, 2013 Report Posted August 2, 2013 Retired (?) racer Southy #277would line up on the outside of row 5 Trust me - I am retired!

DanSkin Posted August 7, 2013 Author Report Posted August 7, 2013 Some words Semi Final 2 Buxton 8 August 2013 This Thursday takes us to Buxton for the second of our World Championship Semi-Final races. TomD #112 selected Sheffield, so DanSkin #236 starts the Buxton race from pole position. Again three Dutch drivers take over the front of the grid with Chevykiller #184 all the way up on the front row, then Marten #291 and Tsjalle #229 following closely. Scotsman dode #151 overcomes a reduced number of meetings to start from the second row (although perhaps on the undesirable outside line). The Powell brothers tie up row 4 with Stox #246 on the inside and Liam #380 on the outside. Ayrton Smith #64 is another of those starting on the inside line will add the international feeling joining us all the way from New Zealand! Grasser #233 has reduced his racing schedule this year and starts on the penultimate row, which he shares with the last Dutch entrant into the 2013 World Championship Semi-Finals N.Burhenne #125. Last year’s efforts qualify Dodge #560 on the back row, alongside 2013 newcomer KrisH #244. Please book in, Fast Track will be RM.
