So after 20 world qualifying rounds we are now finally here - the 2014 F2 World Championship Semi Finals, this year at Mildenhall.

70 people raced in at least 1 qualifying round, but as always only the top 48 can make it through to the Semi Finals. Only your top 10 highest scoring rounds were used, and it was current F2 World, Points, European, British etc. etc. champion DanSkin who came out on top with a massive 426 points with a highest score of 39 and that makes him pole for Semi Final 1. Outside row 1 of Semi Final 1 is f2 admin member and Skegness drunk gymnast Wardiee taking 329 points with a highest score of 32. Row 2 has former F2 World Champion TomD and Liam Powell, both will fancy their chances from here as will row 3 starters Aub and CB - a good push could see any of these drivers getting around the first corner in the lead.

MartinB and Ritzo make up row 4, Ritzo being the highest scoring non red/blue top with a total of 220 points narrowly beating BullyJnr as the highest yellow top, he sits on row 5 alongside Lloydy. Recent returnee Samson will be starting inside row 6 with the ever improving Danny King on his outside, will the middle of the pack prove to be the wrong or right place to be for these two? Row 7 sees two lower graders drivers that have come on leaps and bounds over the last few months - PaulE and the highest white top qualifier Twisty, the next row (Ryan Simpson & Tyzer) will probably think they are way out of position here and will be swiftly trying to make up time on the leaders early on. On to row 9 where we have Tsjalle alongside SamWit both doing only 5 rounds each, row 10 has a 2014 newcomer in DBecks, while outside of him is UKDirt veteran Mav - will experience lead the way or will the new blood come out on top in the early stages of this little battle? Row 11 and inside row 12 are occupied by drivers that have not raced much recently - SmithyK, AndrewP and KezzaGriff. Will these 3 decide to show up and take their grid slots or will reserves be needed to take their places? Last but by no means least on the outside of row 12 is Harold, a bit of a mixed year for him so far, but he may take the attitude that he has nothing to lose here so he may well be a dark horse to make the top 10!

On to Semi Final 2 and Kane leads the way after coming second in the qualifying points having scored 397 with a highest meeting score of 37. "Lock differential king" Dode starts to his outside, and behind on row 2 are Dave and 1 of only 2 drivers to have done all 20 rounds - Stox. Just behind them on row 3 is the other of the 2 to have done all 20 meetings - LeeK, who starts with former real life F2 racer Si to his outside. Row 4 will see HHunter and Mitch battle it out to see who gets to give the big push to the first few rows, and that will leave row 5 starters Stijneman and RickyJames with a decision to go in hard first bend or try to sit back and pick up the pieces. Another UKDirt veteran Spike will be inside of the next row alongside Jakeey, both will be hoping to finish higher than their starting positions. The bagoo had a great start to the year to get him a start on the inside of row 7 starting next to real life F2 racer CrashleyEngland, both are more than capable of progressing through to the World Final.

Row 8 has arguably the most out of position driver on the grids in HamsterJnr - having only done 3 qualifying rounds he finds himself much further down than he would hope but with a top score of 45 points from last week and the World Cup victory to his name he has shown on more than one occasion how quick he is. To his outside is StoxJack - another that is probably not as far up the grid as he would have hoped. Row 9 has RyanSharp and "Mr. UKSOM" Grasser, and both may need to get through the carnage ahead to survive this race, next up on row 10 are another two drivers that have not raced for a while - Heatrick and LouisH but if they choose to turn up they will certainly be ones to watch on the first bend for some action. Row 11 has MiniTom and Dane Bell, two yellow tops who have only done two qualifying rounds each, so have done well to get on the grid. Last up on the Semi Final 2 grid is MickyFinn and JoshW, both having raced three qualifiers and are only separated by 3 points - the stat's say that these two should finish up in close quarters to each other... IF they manage to last the distance!

What ever happens, looking at the two grids - both races promise to produce some great racing and with only the top 10 of each going on to the World Final some have to miss out, and if the past years are anything to go by a few surprises will get through. To make sure you have a chance of getting to the 2014 World Final get booked in on the website now!!!

If people from the semis do not turn up or skins are not submitted by the 1s that need to submit them then reserves will be used on the back of the grids with gaps being left for the missing people, please get booked in ASAP as late bookings will close early for the Semi Finalists on Monday.
