Twisty Posted May 7, 2015 Report Share Posted May 7, 2015 Awesome fun tonight. Only did it because I had a cancellation at work and I like Coventry. Whites and yellows went well. After two 11ths I thought I'd be in the B final but a good result in Heat 3 got me into the final. Final was a blast, think I managed 16 laps in the lead with a nice battle with #82 Dan. Ritzo just had too much pace for me so he came by and I continued my battle with Dan. I would class 2nd in the Final as probably my best ever result on rfactor. GN I span early had a decent battle then got span for a 2nd time. I was already on a massive high after the final so it didn't bother me. Look forward to more F1 meets hopefully. Dbecks Posted May 7, 2015 Report Share Posted May 7, 2015 Well i can't believe im top of the tree the ups and downs of all the mods over the last few months have really been testing really did little practice tonite my time in practice wasnt amazing but very comfortable to run with I was downgraded to white for this month and never raced cov in the 1s just wanted to turn up and give my best realising my setty in the w&y was good really set me up for some belief in a positive night Had really good heats even having a spin in my last heat they provided me with some close racing final was amzing too close hell of a battle with twisty think we were 50/50 on each other just didnt have that little extra to get passed gn was fun too This wont happen again to me and this will stick with me for a while Wd ritzo for the final win Wd for hell of a night Thanks to everyone for tonite Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

After my first heat i figured it was gonna be a hellish meeting for me after being battered from pillar to post the whole race, but a heat win in my second changed that feeling. Then my internet dropped.... -.- The final I had a baaaad feeling about, starting in the same place as I did in my first heat, on the outside of someone I dont particularly enjoy racing against. BUT! I got a beating coming into turn 1, got half spun, blocked the track and got away down the back straight to hunt Becks and Twisty. About 10-12 laps in I had finally caught them, few laps later Id managed to get past them, both of them putting up a good fight, but after being taken out in lap 1 every race as a blue top Id learned to ride a hit and Twisty didnt manage to put me wide enough. Then surprisingly we were upon the back markers, including DanSkin?!?!? managed to get though every fairly easily, then suddenly it was 1 lap to go winner winner chicken dinner! Then I took then handicap in the Grand National, only because I had just scored 50 points and as far as I was concerned, anymore points was just a bonus. So after putting a few clear laps in at the start of the race Id caught the superstars who were battling, got up into 8th at one point, then Samson went on a rampage so after a few hard hits from myself I squeaked up into 9th by the end for double points All I thought tonight though was... REDEMPTION! After losing the last Coventry final on the last lap to DanSkin Awesome meeting, not just because I won but for the racing in general, great action and everyone was mega fast. Disappointed not to get a few more points on the board as felt I had decent enough pace from red. Just couldn't seem to catch that break needed to get away at the start of races.
