  15. As all of you will now be aware, UK Dirt F1 is going to be running a National Series this season, and whether or not the real F1’s use them or not, UK Dirt F1 will be using ‘NATIONAL SERIES JOKERS’. THE JOKERS SYSTEM - Each driver has 1 TARMAC JOKER and 1 SHALE JOKER. When playing their joker, the driver is entitled to score double points for that meeting only. - The jokers can be played at any point during the National Series (including shootout rounds). Nobody is allowed to play their joker at the final round of the series (NS Round 30), as this meeting already carries double points. - Every driver is encouraged to play their jokers at some point in the season, as their score will count towards the grade awards points charts as well (they will NOT be used for grading points purposes). - Kev’s awesome stats site will give you the latest points situation. TJ means tarmac joker has been played, and SJ means shale joker has been played. JJ means that both jokers have been played. - Anyone wishing to play their joker MUST inform Kevin anytime before the start of the meeting. Jokers are totally optional, although we would encourage drivers from all grades to play their jokers. However, for those at the sharp end of the grid, please bear in mind that if you use your jokers, or one of the jokers, before the National Series Shootout Rounds, then you will not be able to use them or it when the Shootout Rounds come around. Finally, a quick reminder for those drivers that do not make the shootout; the series will continue as normal, and it becomes a race for 7th place. It is also important to remember that the grade awards points will continue into the shootout rounds.
  16. At the start of November 2008 I made all the head admins aware that I wished to resign my position as Forum Administrator with effect from March 2009. Well we're here and I'd like to take this opportunity to let you know what will be happening over the coming weeks. First of all the forum will be moved from my website/webspace to some newly acquired webspace. This will take place next weekend (7th & 8th March). There is a lot of data to transfer so it will most likely take two days. Once this is complete you will need to change your bookmarks as there will be a new url. I will make this available to you all once the transfer has been completed. This forum will be made read-only and will be deleted the following weekend when the hosting runs out. Second, there will be a transition period where I will stay on as a full admin member for a period of three months to help with any issues there may be with the forum. I will no longer be taking part in any of the discussions or having any input to making any decisions. Any changes you need to request with regards to the forum should be directed towards any other head admin and I'm sure things will get sorted. Finally, I will be staying on as a second tier admin for both F1 leagues for at least this season. Beyond that, who knows! I've been a full admin member since April 2003 and been running the forum since December 2004. There's no specific reason for my resignation; I just think its time to move on and let somebody else help run the UKDirt leagues. That just leaves me to say thanks for having me and to give my best wishes to the remaining admin team members. Let's hope UKDirt goes from strength to strength.
  17. Can you expand on this a bit please. There are 50 meetings this season and you can race every single one of them if you wish so there is no reason why you can't try to get into every final each meeting. Not sure what else you mean.
  18. Did that earlier this afternoon.
  19. New season starts and Thursday 8th March, and runs until middle of November. Make that Thursday 12th March (8th is a Sunday )
  20. Congratulations to both of you.
  21. Scrapman's account has been deleted.
  22. Thanks for all you've done over the years for UKDirt. Look forward to seeing you around the tracks at some point. BTW I've moved this thread to here so that everyone can reply.

  25. This Thursday sees the start of the UKDirt F1 rFactor Winter Thunder Series. This topic will be used for drivers to book in to race this coming Thursday. Obviously you need to be allocated a car/skin to use as we will be using real life skins provided in the new rFactor F1 Stockcar v1.2 released this past week by UKSOM. Please post here to be allocated a skin to use. Please see here for further details of the Winter Thunder Series. Drivers will be graded according to the end of season grades even though real life skins will be used.
