  1. I'm currently not booking in for the meeting as I cannot do more than five laps without spinning on the racing line.

I just don't want to take the chance of ruining someone elses chance of qualifying, and I am sure it would be Johno!!!

If anyone would like to share their setup or give me understandable ways of stopping the car spinning, then I will be willing to test it and if successful would book in.

I don't have to be fast or well on the pace, just competent around the oval. All I am hoping for is to pick up a minor placing in the top ten.

Any help would be appreciated

you can achieve red and superstar times by just simply pressing the default set up for this track- sorted mav

  3. Thanks again for meeting guys and very well done Trav, it wasnt too long ago that I remeber enjoying the front row start positions now that will all change my friend!!:blowup:

TBH I have struggled since gaining Red grade but have enjoyed some fun wheel to wheel racing for the 11th /12th places which leaves you with no points but a large smile. :071:

I still havent conquered how to stop the car pushing hard when tyres wear after 6 laps when others seem to keep it tight. :banghead2:

Looking forward to next weeks racing: :thankyousign:

its more than just the tyres pusher m8 , keep an eye on brake temps, try run 16 laps in practice and keep an eye on the temps on them, get the brakes to heat up evenly over the duration instead of all the temps at the front, also keep an eye on the tyre temps right across the tyre after 16 laps as well, then adjust the psi,s to suit,

try that bit of advice is all you can do m8

and np on the set up trav, i was due you that after crimmond final.

the meeting itself i really enjoyed as i was a bit tired and couldnt really be bothered putting in the 100% effort. i was happy to just follow robin and lee at the back and pick up mistakes. and i quite enjoyed the racing this way. i had a good couple of races with nezza, and a couple of last bend attacks on aub to which came off for a change.

im going to try this relaxed approach for a while as it was more enjoyable rather than this all balls out stuff .maybe it was just the mood i was in last night who knows but its been one of the better nights racing for me

  4. agree with you there mor, a few dont like knockhill, but i think it knocks up a bit of a driving challenge, turns 2-3 are excellant if you get the car hooked up just right and clip the inside of the tyre. (last pic just for you mor) i found the track difficult for me as i couldnt get a feel for my wheel here. ive never ran the g25 here, it was the sidewinder when i won the scottish in 08 on s/s.

just couldnt get a proper feel for it and it affected my handling and racing linesstill enjoyed it though.

inc some randon pics from toshpixels :042: as i thought it was a good meeting.

  6. thats outstanding trav lmao. the old race ovies and helmet aswell eh,

is it possible for you to chop the legs on the desk to bring your monitor down a fair bit so your not looking up, youll end up maybe with a sore neck in the long run.

    looks ace though m8. :appl:

  7. not to bad a night for me, my set up is from last year where the times were low .3s but this year its crept down to low .2s. didnt think it matter round the wall, but the s/s were off and hard to catch.

plenty wall riding going on from what i saw but i guess its the nature of the track. a good few times i tried to move harmen aside but he kept riding the wall and still infront of me.

highlight of the night was the battle with mav.

walker was right behind me also after i got past him but suffered suspension damage on the rear, this letting walker catch up and not being able to put a pass on mav, got up the inside of mav a few times but just could not keep the arse straight to get a good drive out. top class racing im sure mav will agree, no silly stuff applied.

have to apologize to the world champ who i seemed to thunder into turn 1 up the wall. :5:

all in all 27 points not on the pace is good.

  8. Having now managed to get rFactor up and running and ran a whole meeting at Wimbledon, I set about installing F2's for mondays meeting at Coventry.

All installed ok, and it loads the game ok - problem comes when I try and create a new user "Mav_641" - the game just crashes and goes to desktop. The game will then not run at all.

Once I delete the Mav_641 folder which houses the Mav_641.plr, the game runs fine again.

Is this a windows 7 thing or is it an administration setting or what??

Most people have the same name/number for F1's and F2's so wouldnt be a problem for them, but has anyone else had a problem??

dont create a new user Mav.

go into the user data click your folder with your name to go into it.

edit your plr file, i swap between Tosh-8, Tosh-164 Tosh-874.

once you edit it come out and edit the folder name to the same number.

jobs a good un. will load up in the correct name/number etc.
